This is Vijay , I own an Yezdi classic 250cc 1981 model. The greatest bike I own.

Except fuel consumtion , it gives approx 28 km/ltr which is the only concern. Otherwise , comfort , pickup, starting, running , and most of all road grip , safety and speed that is matchless. I nearly escaped death , and serious accidents had it not been for ny Yezdi, this blog and review would not have come.

Control is matchless even in high speed. You can ride constantly without and vibrations at even more than 80-90 kmph. I have crossed 106 mark many times, but then u cant see things .The speed even if at 60-70 will make people to stand out and guess what the hell is that.

The old drum brakes work well and can stop the vehicle at any speed very easily. Those who own these yezdi's a small piece of advice--dont be rash on the vehicle and shift the gears softly anyway the bike wont complain. Don't get crazy to overtake the small bikes on , anyway in afew mins of drive they will be far behind .Bcos spoiling the bike is easy but getting the guinine spares and mechanics work is painful thing. Keep the engine oil full. New Tyres will last atleast 4-5 yrs even with continuous use.It will cost roughly about 1k (tyre & tube heavy duty). Another point.

Those yezdis owners without a side stand, the 1st thing is get a side stand immediately. Every time u put the center stand , u strain the front shocks. I have had very gud exp of this and really I roamed for about an year to get a good mechanic for my shocks. Believe me the vehicle life extends and also it's better to have a side stand. Carbs-pacco is better and won't leak on side stands.

I have totally revived my vehicle. Spent about 7k to get my bike back to to shape. This vehicle I say is tireless, u will get tired riding it, but the bike won't get tired. Clean the sparks and wipe the dust on the vehicle because the bikes beauty by its shine . That is all u need to do while going long distances.U can carry a screw drive, plug spanner and an emery and few clutch, brakes and acc cable to be handy. Let it be any kind of road. , Since the tyres and engines are strong , it is totally reliable, and really it is good for very long rides. When I take it out and come back, the numbers would have crossed atleast the 300 km mark. Believe me the vehicle will never let u down when u r on a mission.

Had ideal jawa been in existence.. I would have bought 3 more whatever the price. Even if I had to sell other things to get it. Anyway are there any chances? I pray god let this wish come true.

Hi guys im back after long time for the review , other things of interst about yezdi classic.

The clasic bike is the successor of the Java bike , the look of yezdi classic and java are similar yea but the yez classic is much better. The yez classic sound is different from the roadking / monarch and cl2's series bikes.it I would prefer the classic compared to the roadkings. I dont know what or why the roadking bikes are not that strong and enduring to last a lifetime compared to the classic.

Curiously enough when u open the petrol tank & see in the rear and also the jikov carbs and the gears u will see the 'java' written on it beautifully carved . U go back to the 70's and 80's and get a feel of the king (yezdi of course) in its golden times.

Fun point : recently I was driving from blore to chikmagalore on my yezdi, and man there was this guy on a bullet and we both got the better of us on the highway. He was a way ahead of me at 90km/hr I guess and my classic just went past at the same 90 km/hrs and he could never catch me and he slowed down after chasing each other for a about an hour.

My classic is having a problem now oil leaks from the engine, need to fix it , i'll be back after im done with it. Yezdi owners : Please preserve the bike , it will live happily with you. I will be back for another review shortly bye friends.
