Yeoor is the only place I can think of which is right-in the city yet so remote.Situated near pokran lake(also a beautiful spot)it is like a mini hill station.
The place is full of nature, birds trees animals all can be found in plenty. If one wishes to trek monsoon is the perfect time, but it is recommended to be in a group with proper tracking stuff(definitely an emergency light).the road ends at a definite stop and the core forest begins there.
There r streams waterfalls caves in the interior of jungle one must make sure to be out of jungle area before dark as it is pitch dark and impossible to find the way if lost. However the area till road access is perfectly easy access, there are 2-3 good restaurants n bar to spent a good time.
However the place has always been in news for wrong reasons as well, people involved in drugs, rash driving and groups creating nuance after being drunk have spoiled the reputation of this wonderful place.
there are regular police patrolling nowadays and anyone involved in any such activities is in police trouble.
however it is perfect place to party or spent a peaceful time both.
The place is under Sanjay Gandhi national park hence they charge you certain entry fee at the gate.
