A violent love story. Review on Yeh Dil

Anandi Arts Creations`s ''Yeh Dil'',produced by Kiran and directed by Tejaa stars Tusshar Kapoor and Natassha.This pair has already starred in ''Kucch To Hai''and now they are back.The film is a remake of a super_hit Telugu film Nuvvu Mennu which starred Natassha,the actress of this film and it was directed by the same director Tejaa.Tusshar and Natassha make a good pair and this was proved when the song of this pair ''Ding Dong'' from Kucch To Hai,became a hit song.Will this film prove that their pair is a hit?

The film revolves around two lovers who study in a college.The two lovers are Ravi(Tusshar Kapoor)and Vasundhara[Natassha(also known as Anita Hasnandini)].Ravi is all the time playing basketball with his friends,where as Vasundhara doesn`t ever waste her time and is always studying.Once,Vasu tells Ravi to be a good student like a good basketball player.Ravi from that day,starts to like Vasundhara and from the next day he starts to attend his classes.Ravi asks Vasu if she could teach him accounts.Vasu helps Ravi to learn the subject and to teach him.Ravi takes Vasu to his home and there,Ravi`s father(Akhilendra Mishra)asks Vasu that what his father does?Vasu tells that her father is a milkman.Over there,Ravi`s father insults Vasu and tells Ravi that they are millionaires so he must stay away from such people.Ravi goes with Vasu and makes her,stop crying.When he leave Vasu to her home,his father(Pratima Kazmi)dislikes it and he shouts at her daughter what she was doing with the boy?Ravi and Vasu then tell about their lives to each other and then both of them swear that they would always help each other.That is when they start realizing,that they are in love but then the arrogance of Ravi`s millionaire father and the ego of Vasu`s father,torn the lovers away.Will Ravi and Vasu,be united again?

Teja`s direction is excellent because the film is entertaining and though we have seen several films with such storylines,the film doesn`t make us feel bore.Ravi Verman`s cinematography is also superb!Horseman Babu`s action is good!Production values are fair.The background music is amazing!Nadeem_Shravan`s music is good.''Hey Kya Ladki Aayee'',''Yeh Dil''and ''Ek Main Ek Tu''are nice songs!The songs in the film are situational and they are not just thrown in.

And now the performances!Tusshar Kapoor has done a good job.His dialogue delivery and dance are excellent!Natassha(or Anita)does an excellent job.If the film is worth watching,then it is because of her.She has lived the role of a simple girl,who wears simple shalwar kameez and is not a glamourous college_going girl.Her simplicity and modesty in this film is praiseworthy.She has proved that she is a very talented newcomer.Pratima Kazmi is very loud still he does a fine job!Akhilendra Mishra is just about O.K.Vineet Kumar does justice to his role and Saurabh Shukla is first_rate.Sharat Saxena and Mushtaq Khan lend a commendable support!

On the whole,Yeh Dil is a film which is very entertaining and believe me,you won`t be disappointed.The script lacks originality and there is a lot of violence in the film,still it is worth giving a watch.If you want to see a typical bollywood love story with some excellent performances,this film is for you!
