On my recent visit, I had the opportunity to dine at this lovely restaurant. The hotel I had stayed at was located at Colaba and this restaurant was an hour journey by cab from there. My friend had made prior reservation at this place for lunch.

As we entered the restaurant, I was impressed with their beautiful interior with aquariums and lovely lighting above the seating area. The ambience was absolutely lovely and the kitchen was visible from where I was seated. We could see chefs busy at their counter and as per the information from my attendant, they had about 50 employees in the kitchen at all times and each one had a specific task to do.

I placed my order with the help of my server for the afternoon. My hot and sour soup with shredded chicken came first. It was lovely. I liked how it was presented and the richness of its aroma. This was followed by my chicken Shanghai dumpling. I was not impressed with the dumplings but the crispy prawn cheung fun did really hit the spot! I have never had anything like it. It was something different. I would suggest this dish to everyone because it was an experience that I cannot express with words.

My main course dishes were crispy golden pumkin prawns, Vegetable fried rice, stir fried udon noodles and chicken clay pot with schezwan sauce. As you may have noticed already, my friend and I ordered a bit too much food for two. I loved the noodles and the fried rice but the other two dishes didn't meet the benchmark set by their appetizers.

When it was time for desserts, their famous raspberry delice was brought to our table. It looked amazing and tasted like heaven! I can confidently say that it was by far one of the best desserts I have had! The passion and dedication of the chef who created it was evident in all aspects. Nobody must ever leave this restaurant without trying out this dish.

Finally, my Taipei San Xia Green Tea was brought. My friend and I sipped away the tea while listening to person in-charge of making tea who explained the difference between the green tea I ordered and the dragon well green tea. Once the cheque was settled, the server offered a tour around their kitchen. I was really impressed with the segregation of duties within the kitchen and the passion of the chefs which I saw while they were performing their duty.

Definitely an experience worth every penny!
