During my previous experience with Yatra, they finally refunded the money on 21 March, 40 days and innumerable calls and emails later.


My review here helped, coz I got a call from Yatra, and they processed the claim atleast. They also promised me a cash discount of Rs 500 in my next booking. This was promised by Mr Rasik Malhotra, a senior manager operations at Yatra. I made a booking on 16 May through Yatra and asked for the refund of the promised Rs 500 by a mail on 24 May. However, I havent even received a reply to my mail. leave alone a refund.


This goes to show how pathetic a service they are.

Your refund of Rs. 25716.00 has been


processed already from our end on the 15th March 20008 and as stated


on our call, this should ideally reflect on your account by now. Please check


with your bank in a couple of days incase it is still not reflecting and revert


to me.


I am also checking the flight cancelled


complaint and have requested Kingfisher to advise me about when was this change


made. I will also check with the Schedule Change team to revert to me incase


any messages were received from the airline concerned. Meanwhile I have checked


that your contact number was updated in your reservation to ensure the airlines


have it.


I owe you an apology sir for any


inconvenience this may have caused. I am in complete agreement that our


services at this juncture were not in accordance with our usual high standards


that our entire customer population enjoy. **To try and restore your faith in our


brand, I would like to offer you a discount of Rs. 500 as a gesture of our


goodwill on your next booking with us. Kindly send me this email while availing


the same. *

I booked my tickets from Kochi to Kolkata for 18 Feb 08 on Kingfisher Airlines through Yatra.Com(Yatra Ref No: 76QLMT). On 11 Feb I called up to check whether the reservations were confirmed. I was told that its confirmed. However on calling up Kingfisher they said the flight had been cancelled. It took me a while to convince the yatra people about this. however, they finally cancelled the ticket and I had to shell out more money to book another flight on the same day.


Now yatra promised to refund the money within 20-25 working days. The call centre guy(Mr Roshan Singh) even send me a mail mentioning this time frame. He however assured me on the phone that it should not take more than 10-15 days, and they officially maintain 20-25 days to cater for any eventuality.


However, till date(19 Mar 08), after more than 10 - 15 emails and phone calls the money hasnt yet been refunded to me.


I get an assurance daily that I would get the money the next day but to no avail.


I asked Yatra whether they will pay me penal interest for the delay, since I will have to pay the same to the credit card company. They say that they wont pay any interest. so basically, they are holding on to the customer's money interest free for a period of more than a month.


my experience with Yatra regarding refund has been very bad till date.
