Horrible experience on 9N/10D West coast tour

We, my wife and self both senior citizens, booked a 9nights/10days West coast USA package tour offered by yatra.com after long correspondence with them. They  had confirmed that this will be a group package from their US supplier with people from other countries starting from SFO on 5th Sept. 2015. When the package started there was no group package or guide given by the supplier who sent me vouchers through e-mail for hotel and sight seeing tours.


We were the only 2 persons taking care of everything with  the vouchers provided by the supplier. We had no problem in accepting transfers on coach sharing basis provided it was from airport or hotel direct to destination as is done for a group package. However because it was not a group package and there were some problems in yatra's contract/instructions with US supplier I had  to suffer many inconveniences and financial losses in our old age, brief details are given below:




  1. I was provided room in Manor tower C which is not a part of Main hotel circus circus Las vegas, and it was more than 600 meters away from lobby of Hotel Circus circus.  I had to get it changed to West tower in main hotel by paying$22.40 extra as we could not have afforded to walk 3/4 times a day in hot summer for availing any of the facilities of the  hotel.




  2. They were to provide transfer in coach from Las vegas TO Los Angeles from hotel to hotel for which they had mentioned charge of$105 pp. I was provided only voucher for transfer by Greyhound public transport. I had to pay for taxi from hotel to Greyhound terminal and to  hotel in LAX. This costed me$25, and in  addition  I had to pay$30 for the 2 extra bags to Greyhound. Incidentally I may mention  that Grey hound fare was only$18 pp.




  3. There was severe inconvenience to us due to each sight seeing tour in SFO & LAX requiring change of buses and waiting time. I could not have imagined that I will be picked up at 7.00AM and dropped back at 9.30pm every day. Our trip to Sea world, San Diego began only at 12.30pm after starting at 7:00 AM. The actual journey takes only  2.30 hours. In LA the pick up and drop off point was China town and not hotel booked by Yatra.com.  The taxi fare incurred  by me from and to hotel for Seagull tours China town on 3 days in LA was$36 and it was not possible to get a taxi at China town.






Thus I would advise everyone not to book any such tours by Yatra.com. They promise something which is not delivered. In fact I have advised Yatra.com to stop advertising this 9days/10 nights West coast package.
