I along with my family have traveled Simla-Manali-Dharmashala-Dalhousi-Amritsar through Yatra. com booked from their KOLKATA office( Ref no. YH2963287 dt 17-10-2016). The package was a deluxe standard. The first surprise came in Simla hotel where we were surprised to see that one day's payment has been made to the hotel for booking of two days. We were stranded at the hotel lobby for more than one hour while the hotel personnel were discussing with Yatra people. At last we had paid Rs 7000 to the hotel for 2nd days booking, though Yatra refunded that money in our account within 5 days. The hotel in Manali and Dharmashala was good. But the next surprise came in the'hotel Kings' in Dalhousi. It was a dirty guest house than a hotel. We had been shown five rooms. We found all rooms are stinking badly, human waste floating in toilet pan, eaten chicken bones spreading on the floor, Blood stains and human hair on bed sheet, broken cupboard, lizard droppings everywhere. My family refused to stay in that so called deluxe hotel provided by Yatra. We called Yatra personnel. He introduced us with hotel owner and their job was over. He could not provide us clean room and we left that hotel and checked in hotel President next to our booked hotel paying from our pocket. Yatra has not responded to pay back the money to us for their faulty booking. The hotel Heritage Inn in Amritsar was another deluxe hotel provided by yatra was a shabby, dirty hotel with no restaurant, on intercom, No hot water in early morning, dirty bed sheet, broken window AC, pigeon were cooing and peeping through the broken AC vent. We will not recommend to avail Yatra service as they were not 100% reliable and even some one want to book through Yatra; must verify their hotels through different websites, before travelling.
