I booked an indigo flight ticket from Dibrugarh to Chennai via Kolkata, I made the transactions around 2:30AM on 14/3/2012 of yatra ref. no. vide// 1403122112. On the completion of the transaction my e-ticket was not sent but a confirmation email was dropped in the mailbox with the acknowledgement of the receipt and failure of conformation from indigo. They also stated that I'd be contacted by a customer service agent(with toll free customer care numbers) if the ticket was not delivered within 3 hours of transaction.
In the morning when I tried the numbers they appeared busy and several numbers were found to be non functional. Finally, I hit up the functional toll free number 18001029900 then I was assisted with the confirmation and was sent with the e-ticket.
The good part was: when I booked the ticket it had cost me around 7287 INR(with Tata AIG traveling Insurance). But when I got the Indigo e-ticket, the fare printed was a bit higher: 7560 INR and was marked as confirmed. This obviously means Yatra people negotiated for lowering the price which had been risen by 273 INR in 3 hours and kept up to their commitment of providing the lowest price.
Besides this yatra.com provides the lowest price for flight tickets compared with makemytrip.com, travelguru.com etc. They provide exactly flight-company prices and sometimes(as in my case) even lower.
Thumbs up
