The name and the actual experience are just the opposite. The name says, Yashoda, a mother cares the best, but believe me guys you will get the worst of care at the hospital. I consulted Dr.Lalitha for my wife, who was really good in terms of suggestion and also the time she spent in each visit. But the support stuff including the nurses are terrible/pathetic to say the least.
Most of these nurses are trainees who has zero knowledge about the disease/case; they don’t know why a particular medicine is being given to a patient, you will hardly see them smile (which is BTW basic for a nursing profession), they will behave as if they are doing some favour to you by attending to your patient, utter disrespect towards the privacy of a patient. I had my baby born on 6th Feb 2013, while on hospital semi pvt. room, there have been no of times nurses, cleaning ladies, canteen boys etc. would just barge into the room; while leaving the room they will bang the door so loud that even an adult would get scared. My new born kid got up from sleep 7-8 times because of this issue. They have OT on the 1st floor; believe me you cannot sit outside the OT if your dear ones are undergoing surgery inside. You will either faint or will puke because the filthy smell of shoes that will be there always.
Cleanliness is at its worst in the hospital. Another vital information (I noticed), most of the doctors in the hospital are young ones; you will hardly find some experienced doctors in the hospital. Young doctors are not bad in any sense, but the knowledge and an extra touch of care that an experience doctor will have, the same cannot be expected from new pass out from some medical college. There is no coordination between departments as well. My wife’s discharge took 4-5 hours longer because the pharmacy department had some confusion about some instrument used during surgery and it was pending with them. I had to run between the billing, administrative & pharmacy department for the things to get cleared. Funny side is that each department was putting the blame on the other. Besides they will charge you a bomb, so make sure you are either covered through insurance or you have a very heavy wallet with you. If you have option, then avoid this hospital at any cost.
