I have been admitted to Yashoda Medicare for some treatment for 3 days. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. At the same time, Doctors and Nursing staff are very good; Everything else in this hospital is a big mess. May be teething problems, which will gradually dissappear during the course of time. Let's hope so.


Nice things first:




  1. The Dr. who took care of me was second to none, he gave me confidence and I started feeling well the minute I spoke to him.




  2. The nursing staff did their job very well. They looked after me with lot of care.




  3. Admission process was good, did not take more than 40 min.




  4. No restrictions on visitors(rule book says there is).




  5. Good location for people in and around Marathahalli, Whitefield, Varthur, Munnekolala etc.






Now the list of negatives:




  1. There is an inherent delay in everything.




  2. Costs a little higher.




  3. Bathroom fittings/door locks etc. all breathing their last eventhough they are pretty new.




  4. There's an Admin check(for cleanliness/admin issues etc.) every morning. Admin asks the responsible people to clean again if he finds any problem. They say "Yes" infront of him, but will not do any cleaning. An Admin follow-up is badly required.




  5. Lab is a disgrace to the hospital. Before getting admitted, I had given blood/urine samples for tests(4 tests). They said it takes 48 hours. When I went on 3rd day, they said only 1 report is ready, rest will be ready the next day. I went there the next day, and they said reports will take 1 more day to come. However, the situation was the same even after the 2nd day of my admission at the hospital. A bit of shouting did the job for us finally:-)




  6. They provide food for patients. The first day, I did not get anything to eat. My mom had to go to the cafeteria on 6th floor to get a glass of milk.after a long wait of 3 hours. The delivery boys rarrogant too.




  7. Billing: The best billing dept. I have ever seen. They included the lab expenses I paid in the hopital as their own expense and charged the Insurance company. When we questioned this, their real face emerged. I dont want to write anything more about it. I just want to forget it.






Finally, it's a hospital with good doctors and nursing staff. The management/facility/admin will make sure that you will never visit them again!
