My mom has been diagnosed of Chronic Renal Failure two years ago and after consulting several doctors, we decided to go for hemodialysis at Yashoda Malakpet (only because it is near to our place). Although we have separate rooms for Positive and negative hepatitis cases, my mom has been infected with Hepatitis C. There is no vaccine for hepatitis C and it easily infects dialysis patients. Therefore the hospital staff needs to take utmost care and sterilize the equipment so that the infection is not spread.
Although there are separate rooms and machines for hepatitis positive and negative cases, my mom still got infected because of their poor sterilization and diagnosis facility. The most common way of HCV virus transfer is blood to blood transfer (that is why dialysis patients are at higher risk). It is because of the carelessness of this hospital staff and doctors, my mom got this infection. Whoever is planning to go for dialysis at Yashoda, please be careful.
For more information, please provide your contact number or email id in comments. We suffered a lot because of these negligent doctors and I don't want anyone else to go through it.
