Yamaha saluto is my 1'st bike ever so i wanted an easy and comfortable, lightweight bike for me.as i am a new bike rider so when i took its test drive then i found its pickup very good and it was indeed very lightweight and easy to handle given the fact that it is a 125 cc bike.(kerb weight only 112 kg)
The only minus point in this bike is its poorly designed document storage which is very hard and not easy to open.i had to go for a mini backcase for my saluto to put all my bike documents in but they should have made it under the seat
The seats are comfortable and 2 people can sit easily with comfort and bikers riding position is easy too.the gear shifting pattern is very simple and just like any hero or honda bike with up gears backwards and down gear forward.the horse power is around 8.5 which is good for single rider but should be around 10(hope 8.5 bhp makes it lightweight), both brakes are 130 mm drum but they are safe and quick to stop, they work fine in heavy traffic where i usually use front brake, its a nice and cool bike.its very sleek and smoothly designed with lean and slim width, which makes it a handsome and manly ride.
Quite satisfied with saluto as my first bike in life
