I bought a new Yamaha SZ last May from Kollam Pallimukku show room in Kerala. I nevr had any kind of problem with the bike during the first 8 mnths. Then I went abroad for a mnth time nd I was adviced
by the Yamaha service center guys to fill diesel in the tank nd they did that for me nd thy removed the battery from the bike nd kept it in my home. When I came bak aftr 1 mnth, thz guys removed diesel nd put the battery back in position aftr chargin it for few hours. It was ok riding for few hours only…thn the bike strted stoping at the time of riding. When I charged the battery with a local workshop it was ok again for few days, then again the same problems are back. The bike stops even whn u put d indicator, headlight or d hone on nd the battery
charge indicator blinks at that time….jus wonderin whether d prblem is wit some othr parts or will it be ok if I chnge the battery?
According to the service centre guys they are not sure about the problem and they are not sure whether the battery can replaced even mine is under replacement guarantee period. They are saying it will take more than four weeks to give confirmation whether the battery can be replaced or not. I have checked it with some local workshop guys nd according to them this Minda battery which is used in these bikes are of low quality nd these problems are there for many of the customers.Very disappointed with the showroom guys.
