While I chosed Her.

I was thinking of buying a bike off late. But the process gained momentum only in July 2011. I felt let me buy a small dingy bike that would cost me less and serve my purpose as well. Alas , when I checked the prices of all leading bikes they had gone up substantially and now buying a small one - was redundant.

Hence I thought of moving over to the 125/150 cc segment. My chosen fews:

1. SUZUKI Slingshot Plus

2. Honda Twister

3. HH Glamour

4. Yamaha SS125 (Gladiator)

5. HH Passion Pro

I included Passion only because of its sale/service phenomena. But I excluded it as well, since I felt Passion starts rattling a couple of years down the road and the engine beating not so great as it starts aging. Glamour also I could not test drive as the bike was not available in the showroom and it had a bad reputation of gear problems as well as abismal mileage. But somehow you never know the reality without a hands on experience. So I kept Glamour for a later date.

Suzuki Slingshot: what I like of the bike is that it is fully loaded at Rs.54000 on road and HH Passion self start version comes at that price. So it is cheaper by 30% Vis a Vis Passion. Worth a buy. Right ?!!?

But, what I felt is that I did not like the camel design of the bike and looks were not encouraging enough. The Suzuki performance was also not very enthusiastic.

HONDA Twister: I and my son had gone to test ride the bike and when we sat on the bike, voila, the bike just vrooomed away in milliseconds while 3 of us were seating and pleased my senses. I liked the engine beating. The seating arrangements fine. Brakes are good. Fully loaded version also available. Personally I didn’t like the rear end of the bike, no color scheme and a lot of plastics made me jitter. The only concern was the thin rear tyre without any grooving on it at the centre! I felt- it may skid anytime while riding, my heart started missing few of its beats for all wrong reasons.

Yammie SS125 : first I was thinking of buying the SZ series. But when I test rode I liked SS125 little more.

When I googled I saw a lot of positive reviews. Noticed that the bike is present in some form or other for last 3-4 years, another good sign. To top it all it is available only in fully loaded version. When I rode, the bike felt composed, cool, knows her job well and last but not least is willing to be mine, what more what else u want . It is enough. It is perfectly enough.

More 2 follow in my next.
