I love only two bikes. First is Yamaha 100 (also RX135) and second is Royal Enfield. Being a bachelor software engineer I choose to buy RX135 and bought it in year 2001 because RX100 model was not available in the market.
Few points which I liked (and practically experienced) and you all are aware are -
1) Excellent pickup - You can realize if you try this bike and then immediately use some other bike.
2) Bike is very responsive - Even if you go to the speed of 90 and still if you accelerate the speed keeps on increasing. (Obviously I could not go beyond 100 Kmh, tried may times though). In other bikes I have experienced that after 60, if you try to accelerate it does not move that fast the way it moves in the initial speed of 0-40.
3) It is very easy to control and handle this bike in city traffic because of its low height, proper weight etc.
4) Overall the body of bike contains only what is required, does not contain any flashy fiber (which usually makes turrr sound later). Perfect athletic body.
5) Performance is what this bike is all about.
It gives me a mileage of around 45 km which is far better I think.
I did the travel of 300-400 KM many times and it was always fun. Never let me down (as long as you have petrol and side oil). Shock-abs are not that great if you have any back pain issue and rough road.
When I got engaged in year 2004, my fiance (now she is my wife:-)) was so happy to know that I have RX135. She always liked this bike.
Once I was driving, one biker hit me from side and did not even look or say sorry. That made me crazy I raced the bike and was behind him, when he saw that I am coming fast, he tried to race, but I cought him shortly and then gave a required treatment.
In the last couple of years, I faced few issues such as starting problem, piston problem. They were because recently I moved to Pune and I could not catch hold of any good mechanic. Let me know if anybody know about a good mechanic for RX135 in Pune.
Anyways thanks for reading. Drive safe and wish you a very happy and prosperous new year 2008 !!
