I own a Yamaha 135 4 Speed, 2001 Model( with Cat Converter) Black Color, bought this bike when I was in college, did ride this bike decently for about 7 Years and could not modify this since I could not afford the moolah to be spent on the Mods, I consulted a Pro Mechanic and a Pro Rallyist who have got good credibility in the Auto Market for Modifying my bike, since I am earning now thought of overhauling my bike,

First of all if you need your machine to perform w r t Instant Pickup and Top Speed to beat all bikes on the Indian Roads the following parts and work need to be performed where some enthusiasts may feel a amount, the things that I have mentioned does not pertain to any cosmetic modification but only to engine's xtreme performance,

1) Need to Port the engine(bore) - You need a good or reputed mechanic to perform this –

Approx - 500-2000 Rs

Pros - Engine BHP increases,

Cons - Mileage drops by at least 15% to 20%

2) Fit a Quick Acceleration kit - You can buy this from an automotive retail store in your respective city Approx - 400

Pros - Its provides fast acceleration

Cons – You have to mix Oil when you refill your tank with petrol, there is no separate cable that allows Oil to mix with petrol unlike in the stalk bike

3) Make a Drag Power Chamber - A good mechanic can take the measurements for your bike and make a Drag Power Chamber, a city chamber costs you around 1000-1500 rs however a Drag will cost you about 2500-3000 Rs, after fitting this your chamber should not flutter when you hit a peak speed on any particular gear

Approx - 1000-3000 Rs

Pros - Increases BHP and Free Flow of Exhaust and creates thrust

Cons - Creates loud sound when you let the machine loose which attracts Cops

4) Fit a K & N Air Filter model number R-1100 - Available at a good reputed store, buy with guarantee it will cost you another 200 rs extra

Approx cost - 1400-2500

Pros- Increases Pickup and BHP, since it increases the Airflow, its allows better combustion of fuel thus giving you a better mileage

Cons - If you pay close attention, when you rev your machine little you can hear the air filter breathing

5) Fit a NGK Spark plug Model - NGK Iridium IX Xtreme

Approx - 550 - 900 Rs

Pros - No back fire, smooth flow of electricity

Cons - none

6) Fix a Clutch Cam –

Approx - 400 Rs

Pros – Its provides high pickup

Cons - none

7) Up jet your carburetor – Normal or Stalk Jets fitted in your bike will allow a fixed/measured amount of petrol to burn, however up jetting will allow more flow of petrol which increases speed

Approx - 300 - 500 rs

Pros – Good Top Speed

Cons – Burns more fuel

Recommended to use only Shell Super unleaded petrol and Shell Synthetic 2T oil( Any High Octane petrol like Xtra Premium or Power will do)

Guys if you need to attain a great top speed then the torque in your bike should be high, Calculations is given below

BHP multiplied by CC= Torque( You cannot increase the CC of your bike but can increase BHP, So higher the BHP results in higher torque in turn results in great Top Speed

Perform the above modifications and not a single bike will be able to beat you in the city Except the RD 350 which is a family member from the Yamaha Stable(the Grandfather of the RX 135!)
