People talk about power bikes quite regularly after ''Dhoom''. The market is flooded with power bikes today. Karizma, Pulsar etc. But if u want an adrenaline rush , get a yamaha rx-135. I have rx-135 which goes from 0 to 60 in 4 secs flat. I know that a lot of people will not agree on that but if u maintain ur bike really well and modify it slightly, it can beat any bike in the country except RD-350. I have ported its engine and with PROTON EXHAUST attached to it, it has become one hell of a beast. I have won races in traffic, straight lines against bigger bikes like karizma and pulsar except the top speed as their cc's are more.
I have heard people talking about the death of 2-strokes and the emergence of 4-stroke era, but there are somethings in life that will be remembered forever.
2-strokes may be out of poduction now, but even then, in the world of tree-huggers, rx is special and will always be. As great King Kenny Roberts once said: '' 4-strokes are diseal as comparing to 2-strokes ''.
These bikes have less maintainence and also are more reliable and long lasting.
However, its biggest flaw is the absence of disc-brakes. We have seen that what improvement in riding disc-brakes can give in karizma and pulsar. So, this being the lighter bike, discs should have been given as well as fatter tyres. I think tyres are pathetic. I had to change it to 3.00/18.
If I ever have to change my bike, I will buy at least KINETIC COMET or faster than it.
Till then, my Yamaha will always give me the same thrill and excitement that it has given me so far.
Just maintain ur rx or rd-350 as well as u can, b'coz, we will not get these power machines again throughout our life.
