YAMAHA RX-100

The legendary RX-100 is a 2 stroke and 4 gear bike. It was introduced by YAMAHA INDIA in 1989. It was a block buster in the beginning and later was banned by the government. It was banned by the government because it produces more smoke and does a lot of sound. I recently bought this bike second handed for RS 25000. Previously I had a pulsar 180. I selled it and bought this bike three days before. I was attracted to it when the mechanic told me about is pickup and speed. He also added that it has the highest pickup presently. Even more than CBZ. Certainly less than ZMA. It is a 100 cc 2stroke bike. Now lets go to the description of this bike.

Firstly I want to say that each and every part of it made by steel. The bike is available in four colors. I have a red striped one. The tyre width is good for its body. It is a medium weight bike. The head light is also good. The mileage is the only problem with the bike. It gives me 30-35 mileage in city conditions and 40 on high way. The tail lamp is also good. The indicators are the worst part of the bike. They get frequently damaged. The grip of th indicators is not good.
I must say that RX-100 owners must keep their bike a short handle. Without short handle the road grip is worst. Any modifications done to the bike will result in less mileage. The bike can be modified in to a mountain bike. The modification costs about 10000 thousand rupees. In Ap I often see modified RX-100 bikes. I will also modify the bike in a few days after convincing my hard hearted parents. The silencer is a lso good. The beat of the bike is excellent. If you once step on the bike then you will never want to get down.
Now a days the population of RX-100 is decreasing. As a result the demand is increasing. In my city there are only 7 RX-100 bikes. The BIG problem is the YAMAHA company is not accepting this bike for servicing. They are reasoning that the ownership of YAMAHA INDIA has changed. So I gave my bike to a near by mechanic. Here is a list of modifications which can be done to the bike.
MODIFICATIONS…………….!
Short handle can be kept for style and good road grip.
The silencer can be changed if oil leaks out of it and it is also possible to attach a CBZ or Pulsar silencer.
The shock absorbers of the bike can be changed. Long shock absorbers can be kept for high styling.
The engine can be changed and can be made in to 5 tranmission engine.
The engine cover can be kept for good styling.
And finally the bike can be modified in to a mountain bike
P.S : Note that any of the above modifications lead to less mileage.
ACCHI MILEAGE PAANE KE LIYE KUCH BAATEIN…………………!
Firstly if you want to save petrol and want to have less maintenance then the gear shifts must be lessened.
Second you must change gears in accordance with the speed.
Along with petrol correct quantity of oil must be added.
Always go for speed or reliance petrol because they are the puriest among all the petrol brands in India and add mileage without ant strain to the engine.
No heavy modifications must be done like a big radial tyre at the back.
The 2 T oil must be correctly added and must be always full. It should not be less than half.
Most of the mechanics and I recommend HP racer 2 stroke oil. It is same as other engine oils because it gives less strain to the engine.
No wheelie should be done because it gives a lot of tension to the engine and the engine drinks a lot of petrol.
No other brand corporators must be kept in order to increase the mileage because they lessen the pick up and give strain to the engine.
The maximum speed for the bike should be 70 Kmps per hour. It should not be exceeded.

The RX-100 is a good bike for students but not for officials. But the only problem is it is not available in the market. Had it been available no CBZ or Pulsar might have survived in the market. So get your self a RX-100 and become lucky.
