If you are really planning to buy Yamaha R15 then please hear this out. I had great passion for this bike. My first bike ever. I bought the first model released of R15. I had a great time riding the bike with top speed going to 125kmpl, May be you can try for higher speeds.
Till 2 years it was really nice drive. I got all my service done on time always from authorized service dealer of Yamaha in Noida but then started the problems. With every Service costing around 4k INR, every time some new part going faulty.
Recently I started having problem with Bike getting stopped in the middle. I got it checked with Yamaha service center and they took 4k again to do the service and get some parts replaced. Every time you go there with a problem they will tell you this part is faulty get it replaced with no alternative.
This was ok till now as the parts were not very costly. This time my bike stopped to even start. I took my bike in rickshaw to the showroom and without even checking the bike they said Fuel pump is faulty. This will cost 10k to get replaced.
Now it seems it was a serious mistake.after only 3 years my bike has become useless to me. Is it worth spending more than 1 lac on a bike, only for 3 years of life.
I hate my decision of buying Yamaha. I will never recommend this bike to anyone.
