Myself Chaitali and today I am going to share my personal experience regarding the " YAMAHA NEO 50 " scooter, which I bot around six month ago.
First things first, The look of this scooter is very old and it looks like we have purchased a ten year old scooter. This scooter don't even have any graphics or design work at its body, It looks boring and less attractive. It has got only two color options blue and red, So the chose options are very less. The body works are very poor in quality. No extra features are given, no fancy lights or other equipments are provided with. So I am not at all impressed by the looks and the styling.
Second most important thing is the quality of the fiber used to make the scooter is very poor, If you put your fingers forcefully it bends and makes noise like it will break, So you need to be careful while using this scooter, Or else it can get damaged and break. The size of the scooter is very small, Its not even appropriate for two people, you need to adjust. The weight of the scooter is 125 kgs, So it is very difficult to twist and turn due to its heavy weight. And it is very difficult to handle. SO the looks and the handling is very bad compare to other scooters of its class.
It has got 100cc two stroke engine with 7 PS @ 6500 rpm, which makes the scooter very slow and a top speed of only 75 kmph. The scooter is not that powerful it can reach 0 to 60 with in 8 seconds, which makes it slower then other scooter of its class, The automatic gear shifting is not very smooth. It often gets shut down if you give too much throttle. So the pick up quality is not smooth and the ride is not very smooth. The mileage is very less only 30 kmpl for a 100cc scooter is very bad. So the fuel economy is very bad, It has got a 7 leter fuel tank only. so you need to often fuel it.
The level of comfort is very less as it is small in size and the quality of the seat is not very good. The seat is very hard and not at all comfortable. The telescopic suspensions are not very smooth and the back hurts a lot. Not very good choice for a long ride. The cockpit is very high and you need to seat straight so the chance of comfort is very low. The cockpit does not very many features, No cockpit light is their. So you cant see all the control buttons at night. So the reliability features are very less, and if you looking for a high mileage and very comfortable scooter then this is not for you.
It has 100/90 - 75 mm drum break for both front and back, which makes the stopping power very less. It does not work very smoothly and fast while on high speed. but an option of disk is available at higher price. without ABS, which makes it not very safe for riding. S the stylish and appeal is very low with less features. The head light is not very good, during rain and in fog you cant even see properly. No extra lights are provided. No extra boot space is there, only a small space for a packet is under the seat, Which is not very good. The customer service is not very good, they don't even provide a free first servicing, You need to aishwaryasingh23 every time. The delivery is very slow, It took then twelve days to deliver the scooter to me, and the servicing time is almost three to four days which is very long, They charge for every thing, Like mobile, engine oil and other stuffs. No loyalty to the customer is give. So you need to aishwaryasingh23 highly after the purchase, So if you are looking for fueal efficient high performance and very good looking comfortable scooter then YAMAHA NEO 50 is not for you.
