1) EXPERINCE OF PURCHASING: in 2nd part of this review i'll share my experince after 2000km ride.

I was in search of good mileage 70+, good looking bike.G5 is excellent one which I purchased on 24th aug. after hell lot of search a………

story of hunting began like this…. I went for TVS centra, CT100. not for splendor as I was already driving it. took the test ride.

in Ct100 company claims 8.6 BHP for 99cc (which is highest in this category) without mentioning abt technology etc....neway I felt that the vehicle has vibration.....also it is good that 80+kmpl is nice to have but u now u need power as well some times.....also its tank design too odd for me to tolerate.......sitting comfort is normal (i was having problem with splendor that I used to feel uncomfortable after riding for more than 45 minutes or so because of compressed nerves .... the reason of this compression was the raised portion of the seat near tank....) so I rejected the idea of taking CT100........

then I went for centra which also claims good mileage..........i cudn't check it from vibration point of view.....sitting was not comfortable as the tank design is odd (so not good looking also) and portion above the engine so badly designed dthat legs gets streched far apart from each other......also took test ride of tvs star delux etc but in vain...so which vehicle to take.......i was confused...........since I had given priorirty to sitting comfort also I was perplexede......sitting comfort is a must for a vehicle because if u r not comfortable with sitting how can u drive with full satisfaction............

so lastly I went to HH showroom.....splendor I didn't wanted to take as I had droved it and it is very simple looking vehicle and moreover it was giving me sitting discomfort so I took ride for passion as it is said to be one of very good looking bike its dimension etc…..its engine is same as splendor so sole point for me was to have sitting comfort……I was not satisfied on this front …….then I tested super splendor which certainly good bike can’t give 70+ average and no change in look…in fact you have to see the name of the vehicle n then only u can differentiate bet splendor and super spl….. so what to do I was in a fix…….and I had to attend the phone calls from every showroom……

my one friend, who is having Libero earliest model and getting the average of 65 kmpl , suggested to goo for Yamaha showroom … I took ride of crux-s and G5 model……..G5 was great…..its sitting is best in this class of vehicle…in fact riders who ever has sit behind me till now has always appreciated the rider sitting comfort as well….also look is very beautiful and fantastic… ..in fact no other bike of this segment has such a gorgeous, nice and descent look…….i drove the bike at the speed of 17kmph(approx) in 4th gear with with the showroom boy sitting as rider and surprisingly G5 was not not at all having any vibration…I was impressed….it was like luv at first sight……

After this I judged all the vehicles on technical front……..technically HH bikes are certainly great and yamaha is equivalent…….for this satisfaction I compared other bikes made by Yamaha and HH worldwide. And I was satisfaied by the technical superiority of Yamaha…….

Dimension wise wheelbase of G5 is the best 1290 mm which is highest in this segment…so bike is very stable and gives more maneuverability…….also due to its sleek design it looks beautiful and provides better handling…

Max speed when loaded is abt 70 kmph…which is highest in this segment…..solo it is 85kmph…..which I have just checked after first service……n u won't find vibration...

It has given me the average of 70kmpl when I first filled it up by 5 liter…..but second time it gave 60 kmpl….i dono why ? may be petrol pump person wud have given less fuel…..because average does not fall in such a manner……I shall check & verify n let u all know abt it……

So far as power is concerned you can’t have average n power both……..i feel its same as for other vehicle and abt max spped I’ve already written…..so sporty person shud not opt for this bike…..

This is how I purchased Yamaha Libero G5…….So overall I find that it is fantastic bike………

2) EXPERINCE AFTER RIDING 2000 km: FOUND THE BIKE AS I THOUGHT

Let me first summerise now as follows

PROS:

1) BEST LOOK IN THIS SEGMENT (DESCENT + STYLISH BOTH)

2) GOOD AVERAGE

3) GOOD POWER

4) GOOD PICK UP

5) ENGINE TECHNOLOGY IS GOOD

6) LONGEST WHEEL BASE IN THIS SEGMENT HENCE,

7) BEST STABILITY DUE TO LONGEST WHEEL BASE + MORE WHEIGHT

8) LOCK IS BETTER THAN HERO HONDA

9) START IN ANY GEAR

10) BEST SITTING COMFORT.............

CONS:

1) CAN GET AVERAGE BETWEEN 65-70 NOT MORE THAN THAT....

friends I got the bike as per my expectation. I was having some fear regarding starting problem but I found none....in a simple kick not a tough one as had been with yamaha, bike starts every morning at 7am......of course u have to warm up the engine a bit if it is cold which is normal I think...

in fact to ur surprise i'll add that almost every relatives of mine couldn't notice the sound of the engine in start position.....while in the market places where there is some noise even I got confused sometime whether engine has started or is idle.

keeping in view of the above experiences, i've become confident abt engine quality .

there r a few small modifications which can be done - 1) as u shall find steel rod protection over back light area, G5 can also be provided that structure....although I fond that lot of bikes in market don't have that protection....2) footrest for the rider should be lowerred a bit for more convenience of the rider, aprticularly who have good height....

Yaar, I found a new thing abt honda that after 5-6 years key of the bike becomes so smooth that any honda key fits in any bike.....in fact what happened that one of my friend lost both the keys of his splendor.....then he used my other friend's spledor key n surprisingly bike started................
