I am again on mouthshut this time writing the review with the experience of riding gladi 14000 Km and 7 servicing. Now I m elaborating the problems I faced than u decide yourself.
Problem areas.
1.Electrical circuit--- My bike started getting shutting down occasionally as rain started pouring in goa for that I went to service centre. My experience at service centre was horrible these yamaha service centre guys were not even aware about the simple electronics of circuits to my horror they revealed that they are trained only for mechanical part. They refused to entertain my problem for that I approached to area yamaha engineer. He accepted that there was some fault with electrical connection but was not able to repair the same. He called Yamaha service engineer for that. After that my bike somewhat working properly. But still RPM of bike fluctuates for that they don't have any solution.Do u know how much time these guys took for this process to complete, full 4 months in that time I was feeling too bad to buy this bike.
2 Milege--- If u r thinking to buy this bike for mileage factor only than dont go for this bike my bike gives me average mileage of 50kmpl only.
3 Carburetor-- This bike have lucas made pressure activated carb as I was informed by the engineer.
My advice to all of u is that never let any service person touch your carb as its setting can be disiturbed and can not be set again at service centre. This policy I could'nt understood as tvs fiero have the same carb made by same company but service engineer did'nt give me satisfactory answer for this now I m fearing of same problem as rain will be starting in goa in few days.
4.Servicing---- If u r living in the area where servince centre is too far or not available than dont go for this bike as some feature of this bike r not common to other bikes and your local mechanic can not handle these specific problems specially carb.
5 Riding comfort---This feature of bike leads this bike ahead of its competitors, riding comfort and handling of bike is flawless.
In the end my advice to guys who r going to buy new bike first think about your requirement out of bike then decide. In my personal opinion I have listed them as under but use your head first and take advise from the users in your locality also. There r some members on mouthshut who r writing reviews on mouthshut as paid employees of that company. New strategy of advertisement. Although strictly this is my personal opinion u can find this fact by searching yourself.
I want to clarify here that my intention here is not to hurt anybody.one more thing that this problem was not specific to my bike only there was same problems with some other guys I met at service centre.
Above problems were faced by me and have written here as to share with u guys.
