I prefer a better ride over mileage and I don't care much about fuel price. After doing extensive research among 125 and 150 CC bikes with performance and price I settled on Yamaha Gladiator due to lower price and reviews. I thought I need to compromise a bit in performance compared to 150 CC peers.I booked my Gladiator(Sports Blue) from Panache Motors, CMH Road, Indira Nagar, Banaglore. They promised me that they will deliver the bike in 2 days but it took 2 weeks for me to get the bike. Never ever buy from Panache would be my true advice. After my first service, I switched to Pacer Motors in Shivaji Nagar as they offered reasonably better service. The real story starts from here. Many times I drove Honda and Bajaj 150 CC bikes and they are never even comparable to Gladiator. Though its just 125 CC, It reaches 70-80KMPH within 5-6 Seconds and none of the 150 CC bikes will be near if you start racing from a signal. The major advantage according to me with this bike is its combination of high initial torque, light weight, power full disc brake and height which enables you to reach 90kmph within 6-7 Secs(all the pulsars and unicorns cannot be seen in the near vicinity) in a bad congested road and you will be the sole rider reaching the next signal. Don't buy this bike if you gonna race with RX100, RX135, Pulsar 220 as you will be humiliated. When you ride with 2 passengers, the performance is not good and feel like under powered.I guess its designed for a solo driver for pro biking in city. Cannot use in highways to race with 150CC's as max speed I achieved with this one is 110kmph .I am getting a mileage less than 50kmpl.
Go ahead with this if your blood is gushing in a city to beat the much seen Pulsars and Unicorns.
