I was looking for a bike in the 125 cc segment and went thru the following options

1 Flame

2 Gladiator SS

3 Honda Shine

4 XCD 125

I read through almost all the blogs in the internet and also inquired with around 5-10 people who own gladiator and from everywhere I just got one answer…the bike is awesome …go for it ..though I was v convinced by all of this I decided to explore the other options also . But as I started to enquire about the bikes I was really surprised to find out tht gladiator scores much above all the bikes..these were few comparisons I found

TVS Flame vs Gladiator SS

The flame has a bad pickup and also the styling of the tank is not done properly . The headlight is embedded into the tank which is not good in case the bike falls ( though it all depends on personal choice I din’t like it much ) . Also the bike lacks dics brakes and the console is also not properly done ..kinda clumsy …

Bajaj XCD 125 vs Gladiator SS

XCD 125 is absolutely waste of money ..just for ppl who want mileage and nothing else from their bikes . In most of the blogs or reviews I read anywhere 9 out of 10 owners were not happy to have xcd as a bike…smaller wheelbase…overall small bike and with a pillion it just lags on the road…

Honda Shine vs Gladiator SS

Shine though its comfortable and has a good pickup looses to gladiator in terms of mileage and performance..also considering that the handling of gladiator is better than shine

Also various other features like sporty seating , which offers a great ride ..tachometer (only bike in 125 cc to have it ) ..great looks ( the full racing cowl as compared to small racing cowl in xcd and flame) , 5 gears which give less load on the engine(none of the bike mentioned above has it)…its just amazing..

As far as the handling and the power is concerned ..just twist the throttle and you will come to know about the race bred engine which gladiator has in it ..pure power and excellent suspension….the braking is also spot on , thanks to the disc brakes which is a must for the thrill seeking riders…

I commute daily for around 60-70 kms …and the bike is a pleasure to ride with no back pain nothing whatsoever…currently I am in the running-in period but just can’t wait to see get what the bike is really capable of…nyws the running-in period is really v imp for the bike as all the parts of the engine are new and are settling in ..

During the initial 1000 kms the rpm should not exceed 4000 rpm in any gear and after 1000 to 2000 the rpm should be between 4000-5000 in every gear …these details were given to me by satadal payeng (writes blogs on https://2wheelsindia.com )

This is the best bike one can get with all the features loaded and at such a decent price. I got the bike for 50450 on road Chennai including all the accessories ( indicator buzzer , crash guard, tank bag, side hook , helmet) and also a remote startup for my bike .

After all the hardwork I did for selecting the bike ..I think I have made a right choice …I would also like to know the opinion of you guys on what you think about this reviews and my choice…kindly comment on it …thanks !!
