I have been to yamaha showroom with all my concerns and problems that have been coming from FZ owners .I will quote the problems and solutions for the same that will help my friends .
1) Mileage - Company claims for 50 km/ltr . now it depends upon the way u drive. U need to be between 40-50 during the first 3 services and beleive me u will get very close to 50 .
2) Self start - Many of my friends are worried abt the self start problem which should be a question for indian rain condition . I have checked with the yamaha technical guys and they assured that first of all the starter is water proof and we only need to take care of battery chargung secondly if ur battery gets drained then u can start it by rolling the tyres by outting it on main stand and it will start.
3) Top speed - Once ur engine is lined up afterall the services it will definiteness touch 120 km and I think its enough for Indian road.
4) Spare parts - As the sales have been gone beyond expectations yamaha have open many service centres for availability of spare parts bur the only thing is it is costly as compare to bajaj and `honda. For any other queries u need to know abt FZ please let me know the same.Like to help you.
