UPDATE...(FZ start problem rectified)...UPDATE. Review on Yamaha FZ16

*Hi this is abhishek I hav already updated in my last review but for this problem I m writing a new review

Last saturday I went to my friends house for a mini party wid my wife and kid ...we stayed there for almost 3-4 hours. My house is around 4-5 km from my friends house, while returning at 9.30 pm in the evening, in the way I felt that my horn sound is lill week.

I thoughtit was my hearing mistake but again I blow the sound but it was reallyweek even my headlight became weaker when I blew the horn and after some time I felt it went off. Immediatly I switched off my headlightsand then tried now the sound was lill higher but not up to the markthen I stopped my vehicle at railway crossing just near where theaseproblem arised. Then I tried to start my bike but was really surprised and scared to see that bike refused to start and the horn also butheadlight was on but like a lill candle. That time I was really disoppinted and schoked that, what happened to my bike ? I reallymissed cick start 1st time in my life. I searched some mechanic but disappointed at 10 pm I cud not find anybody..just after 15 min I again tried to start my vehicle but surprisingly it started but the baterrywas really weak ..I swiched of my headlights even in the night I thought atleast I shud drop my family at my place and then go toservice centre. Any how I reached my place ..I dropped my family ..tillthen I didnt shut down my vehicle ..and run away for yamaha service centre which is just 3 km away from my house.

I thought it will be open till 10 pm...but after running some 2-300 mtFz’s digital console turned off and the engine red light on the head started blincking . Any how my bike took me to 2 km but was runnng andjumping like horse ...and just before 1 km of service centre it went off and refued to start even after DHAKKA MARO . That time I was relly like crying ....then I took my bike PAIDAL(walking)..I was not lookingat anybody on the road .feeling really ashamed of my self ..what would be people thinking about me and my brand new FZ. ...any how troubling my hand and leg I reached at the service centre but shocked to see thatit was totally closed ..even the guard refused to park my bike...thattime 1st time in my life my bike was BOJH to me. I called my friend and told him to send any mechanic where I was ...After some time a mechanic came to me and went through my bike and told me that the baterry hasgone and its better to show at the service centre. I parked my bike atmy friends place near to YAmaha service center again by walking. Now today morning I went to Yamaha service center wid my bike and then they told me that it could be battery problem and it will take 2 days to solve it cos they hav to send the battery to the vendor and if its somthing else with the batery of cource they will call.

Now I hav come to my office and awating for the call.

Please reply me if any of you has got this kind of problem or if u hav any idea of problem

One more thing it starts after DHAKKA MARO but again get BANDH after breaking or keeping speed slow and also even if try to put horn button.

Hi all of you and thanx for your valuable replies.

On that day when I went to Yamaha Factory Center Malad wid my bike I told one of service guy there name Sushant who took my bikes responsibility and told me to come after 2 days...I had explained all the problem to him and requested to solve my problem in a day only ...he said "I will try my best" and told me to make a call at 5.30 to know the status. I called at 5.30 to yamaha ser cen, and was surprised to hear that the guy Sushant went early in the afternoon to his home and did not explain my problem to any of the service guy and also he has removed my battery and placed at some unknown place. I reached at the service center just after leaving my office and inquired at there...none of the service guy was knowing my problem and where that foolish guy has placed my bike's battery. They even tried to call him but he didn't pick the phone.. Any how I requested a lot and shout at them for there irresponsibility. Then they searched my battery and tested and told me that the battery (may be) faulty. As per my request they tested alternator(or rectifeier I dont know there was some part near battery they were calling as rectifier) wid another battery and told me that the alternator is faulty and they took some half an hour to find some other alternator to test and finally they tested with the other alternator and told me that the alternator of your bike is OK ..and they again suspected the wrong battery(Huhh....). They told me that the vendor has not come and they will take 2 more days to change the battery ...I shouted and requested them a lot ....the guy name was Rafique but he told me that he cant help me before 2 more days..There was another cool guy name Naushad who has tested all the problem ....I was physically there till 2 hrs ....and finally Naushad told me that he will try his best for tomorrow only and he will talk to some higher authority guy name Sameer so that he can deliver my bike the next day cos I had to go to my niece bday party at Airoli(New Bombay).....Today I called him at 11.30 as per his wish, ...now he told me that he is testing my bike and will call me about the exact situation and problem.

Thank god he called me by his personal mobile at 1 pm and told me that he has put my battery for charge and some earthing wire of my bike has problem and its draining battery cos the new battery which they had put last evening to check the problem , even that also drained up ...so the problem is rectified that the earthing wire of the bike is not fixed and it is now fixed and now he is charging my battery so that he can again test wid it and come to the final conclusion..He told me that he will call at 4 pm and try to deliver bike today only if all the problems are fixed...

I am really thankful to the nice guy Naushad cos when I was requesting them last evening every service guy were pointing out to other that" please see his(my) problem"

One big lession I learned thay if your bike has some big problem and you want it to be solved you shud phisically present in front of the guy and instruct him about the correct testing of the problem.

I spent my 3 hrs yesterday evening for my bike/......

BOSS if you hav come acroos this kind of situation defiantly u would have blamed yamaha for reliability
