Pay Attension!!! FZ refused to start...... Review on Yamaha FZ16

UPDATE! : FZ refused to start (SCROLL DOWN)

This is Abhishek..(from Mumbai).I am new to mouthshut but not new to yamaha FZ16. I have completed 45 days with my FZ16 that means 1.5 months...Now I feel I hav good enough experience to right a review.

Before my FZ I have expendor plus and that too at my farm house in Faizabad.I visit twice there in a year and after that it is kept lock. so I had only 3500 km experience with my spendour. Before buying FZ I had 3-4 bikes in my mind ie, Pulsar150, Hunk, Unicorn and RTR.

Then I finally filtered pulsar(its too many on the streets) and RTR(dont trust TVS). Unicorn also I filtered because of only looks.I booked my beast on 15 dec and got it delivered on 26 dec(just 11 days) with number from yamaha showroom in malad.I chose Red ...in my mind I was thinking about black but my wife liked Red so finally I went for Red.

Mileage:

Initially I was little scared about mileage but for initial 150 km it gave me around 41. after every 3 or 4 lit of fuel recharge it gave me 39, 40, 48, 48, 47 and now for last 5 lit. of fuel it gave me 51.2 KMPL with avg speed of 40-50, I dont run my fz more than 55 kmph. Till now I hav completed 1500 km with 1st service at 950 km done. so if you talk about mileage I am fully satisafied and happy too.

Comfert and control:

Initially I felt lill owkword sitting on FZ..but I think this is one of the most comfertable bike.I hav rode pulsar, HH bikes and bullet too.with my splendor I used to take more than 100 km trip at a time but after that I was feeling pain...

But with FZ, remarkably no pain at all by more than 70 km trip..Your handle grip is very smooth and riding position is pain free and sporty.and control my god its like you are only sitting on the bike and its running automatically if you campare wid old splendor...superb control!!

Even now if I take my friends splendor I always scare to drive in this kindda city traffics but wid FZ ...i can move any corners of road wid full control. One more thing the grip on the road is superb and while taking turn on curves you dont feel like skidding...

Reliability:

Its YAMAHA!!! so no question of doubt...you can rely till the end of your bike's life.

Looks:

As everybody says this is the most beautyfull bike india ever had if you dont talk about hayabusa and all...i mean in 150-200 segment. I too believe.The best part is its Tank , silensar and forks. amazing looks.when I first saw this bike I thought I cant afford it ..must be sone 2-3 lac bike but its trully affordabe.You feel like king sitting on FZ.

Here I am giving my personal review so no need to give bike specification at all as everybody knows everything about this bike.My main concentration was at mileage, confert and looks. If you drive in 40-50-55 range and place gears at right speed definatly you will get 50-52 KMPL mileage. Comfert and looks of this bile is international level everybody knows...its fully paisa-wasool bike.

1. Front no plate but will do.. I hav ordered new one its rectangular V shape but very small so looking good ...i dont like on front mudguard as its like spoiling mudguards bright look

   
   




2. Horn ......very poor I want to change but some street mechanic told me some 500bucks so will try

   
   




3. Seat lil small as I said its truly couple bike so cant sit 3 friends

   
   




4. Rear break is very loose... if I try to tight it through screw, my rear wheel also gets tighter I mean its free play gets tighter and also rear break is very low to footrest.....i added a rubber cover on it to make at same levell

   
   

FZ REFUSED TO START

I am updating my review cos I faced most serious problem ever in my life regarding BIKE. Last saturday I went to my friends house for a mini party wid my wife and kid ...we stayed there for almost 3-4 hours. My house is around 4-5 km from my friends house, while returning at 9.30 pm in the evening, in the way I felt that my horn sound is lill week.

I thought it was my hearing mistake but again I blow the sound but it was really week even my headlight became weaker when I blew the horn and after some time I felt it went off. Immediatly I switched off my headlights and then tried now the sound was lill higher but not up to the mark then I stopped my vehicle at railway crossing just near where thease problem arised.

Then I tried to start my bike but was really surprised and scared to see that bike refused to start and the horn also but headlight was on but like a lill candle. That time I was really disoppinted and schoked that, what happened to my bike ? I really missed cick start 1st time in my life. I searched some mechanic but disappointed at 10 pm I cud not find anybody..

Just after 15 min I again tried to start my vehicle but surpricingly it started but the baterry was really weak ..I swiched of my headlights even in the night I thought atleast I shud drop my family at my place and then go to service centre. Any how I reached my place ..I dropped my family ..till then I didnt shut down my vehicle ..and run away for yamaha service centre which is just 3 km away from my house.

I thought it will be open till 10 pm...but after running some 2-300 mt Fz's digital console turned off and the engine red light on the head started blincking . Any how my bike took me to 2 km but was runnng and jumping like horse ...and just before 1 km of service centre it went off and refued to start even after DHAKKA MARO . That time I was relly like crying .

Then I took my bike PAIDAL(walking)..I was not looking at anybody on the road .feeling really ashamed of my self ..what would be people thinking about me and my brand new FZ. ...any how troubling my hand and leg I reached at the service centre but shocked to see that it was totally closed ..even the guard refused to park my bike...that time 1st time in my life my bike was BOJH to me.I called my friend and told him to send any mechanic where I was.

After some time a mechanic came to me and went through my bike and told me that the baterry has gone and its better to show at the service centre. I parked my bike at my friends place near to YAmaha service center again by walking. Now today morning I went to Yamaha service center wid my bike and then they told me that it could be batterry problem and it will take 2 days to solve it cos they hav to send the battery to the vendor and if its somthing else with the batery of cource they will call.

Now I hav come to my office and awating for the call. Please reply me if any of you has got this kind of problem or if u hav any idea of problem. One more thing it starts after DHAKKA MARO but again get BANDH after breaking or keeping speed slow and also even if try to put horn button.
