I own a Second Hero Honda Splendor Plus 2008 2 Crore Spl Edition. Bought in 2010.I liked the bike due to mileage and Comfort.

I drove it for three years, I have no complaints except styling, Electric Start and power which is fulfilled by my FZ.

Bought New FZ-S  bcoz  I loved the bike since I was in 1oth Standard. I am riding it since March 7 2013’s Eve  and she is wonderful.

Usually people look for a bike which has more mileage like Hero Honda/Hero Splendor, But I needed Pickup which is very less in Splendor, so I switched to FZ(Which Was My Dream Bike). Here in FZ-S  you will get both.( Not like Apache RTR or Pulsar).

Here you will get a decent average and power. I rode it within 50 for first 2000 kms as per mechanics advise. After that I noted the mileage. If I ride the bike within 90 it gives 48-50. If I ride  the bike from 100-135 it gives 35-40. I use only Xtra premium Petrol(Indian Oil) / Super Deluxe(Shell). Pros: 1) It has Cycle handle … so sitting will be proper and real comfortable.

In case of apache and pulsar they both have sport sitting and handle which causes neck ache and joint ache. 2) Even if you clean it after a long time. It always shines. 3) Wide Rear tyre provides good Balance and stability 4) You have Both  Kick and Electric Starter(not Available in FZ Version 2) 5) It  looks like the better overall package. Cons; 1) The Maintanance is little bit costlier than 100cc Bikes like Changing Filter for every 3000-4000 kms(i.e Changing thrice in a year) 2) Changing Chain Sprocket once in two years or 17000-22000 kms or whichever is first. 3) Rear tire does not have a mudguard, so if rear tire is wet it will throw too much of mud towards both side and back. 4) When I shift down sometimes I feel gears are some what hard.(Experienced in more than one FZ-S)
