This was the question 1.6 years back I had when I thought of buying my first bike. And I think now is the best time I should share my experience and review about the bike I bought.

I'm from Bangalore and for those who're concerned, I'm a thin/skinny guy. And at that time, I was not knowing bike driving very well. And no license too! And, I not having more money.

And, and all of a sudden I felt I need a bike.

So, I started my research as usual. Mouthshut.com helped a lot, Thanks to all those reviews.

My first choice was Bajaja Avenger! I was impressed by the comfort cruising! Avenger is the only mid-range cruiser available in India.(Less than 1 Lac).

But, I rejected very soon because - Mainly, braking system. It's not so good, which is very basic. And for Bangalore traffic, it's very long. And there are many other reasons too. Also, I don't like Bajaj vehicles. Lot of maintenance.

Then I considered, Apache. It seemed a good bike. Good power, good handling. but, I dropped this too, because - Very bad braking system. Buying Apache is like signing a suicide note! Hah, that's little exaggeration! However, highest number of accident happens on Apache. Coz, it got a good power, pretty good torque. But, the mass-velocity ratio is too bad. You can't suddenly slow this bike down, no way! I personally experienced it.! And it's funny tghat, TVS advertise this bike as racing bike! See that Ad, the driver is fully equipped! Hah, it's not for you and not for normal roads.  That's why they came up with ABS in Apache, another funny thing. Anyways, please don't buy unless you want to take risk.

Then comes Honda bikes. I usually first study the company background before going for it's products. And Honda, with a very good profile, they had developed a Robot, as well. My point is, they got technology! So, I considered Unicorn and Dazzler. In online, Dazzler seemed a good bike. But in reality, it's not! Even, I went to the showroom to book the bike. Luckily, it's production has been stopped and not available anywhere!

Then I considered Unicorn. Yes, it's decent bike with good specifications. Only con was, it's too common on Bangalore roads! Hah, that should not be a point anyhow. But' luckily, I didn't book that.

During that time, my friend suggested me to have a look on Yamaha FZ series. Till that time, I never considered that one. Coz, since I'm skinny, I felt it'll too heavy for me. It may look odd. But, friend, don't ever consider that thing. It doesn't matter. you don't need muscular energy to drive!

So, I just gone through FZ bikes! And, I was wondering, why I didn't considered this at first! It's the best bike at that 150 CC segment.  The main advantage over Unicorn is, it's rear tyre! It was first and only affordable bike in the market with flat tyres, which gives to very good control! I told you, I was not knowing bike driving very well.

I didn't find any con for this bike. So, I just gone for it!

And, even after 1 and a half year, I feel proud about my decision to buy this beast. It got the best breaking system, mass-velocity ratio is perfect. That you can notice, very thick front forks(suspension), which gives good control while braking. The weight/mass is evenly distributed.

Whatever, it never let me down. Just go for it!

One thing I should mention is: whenever I see KTM Duke, I feel I should have bought that. But, it's good didn't. Duke is another awesome beast. You can opt it, if and only if, you're a bachelor! I mean, It's best bike for single drive. And also, your're ready to invest around a Lac on a motor cycle.

Anyways, choose wisely!
