I have been riding one for close to 7 years. Still in good condition. Had my share of troubles initially. For one I had to wait for 3 months (factory was on strike!!) Finally when I got it in Feb 1999, it was sheer pleasure. (Well nothing else was available in Indian market). CBZ is jazzy but gets crappy after a couple of years. The only one I see around that can be maintained in mint condition was the RX. You can stil find the RX100s in mint condition.

Had some engine noise initially (most people tend to ignore this, untill it comes to a stage where it is econonmicaly not viable to get it fixed). Mine was under warranty, and running around a bit , few mails here and there but I got it fixed. They changed the piston, rings etc etc. My friend was not so lucky. He bought a used one with the sound and mechanics want a rebore at 4k when he cannot get more than 12k on the bike!

Done around 50000 on the odo, and still raring to go. Pity that they dont make them like they used to. I used to enjoy my long drives (200+ kms one sided). Still remember the midnight of a friday when I decided to take off onto the road. Wondered if I could have a 5th gear. My class mate did actually put an additional gear.

Of late I havent been riding much with it as I have had to buy a car to keep away from the rain and dust and noise, and also to include the whole family. )Yea getting old for it.)

Mileage: Used to measure it initially, got around 50+. These days priorities changed and havent checked in a loooong time. Perhaps an appropriate measure would the amt spent in my sal cycle :)

I plan to locate and close the deal on an RD 350 or if I can get my hands on a CB650. Gosh! when will the Indian biking market mature? We have cars worth 2.5 mil or higher flooding the market. Sure we can take on bikes worth more than 40g.
