It's all my mistake to go ahead and arrange for Hindi tutions for my daughter without validating the agency credentials.
Based on a request I placed online on one of the many tutor websites, one Athena from "Yahweh Tutions for Excellence and Consultancy" contacted me for providing Hindi home tuition for daughter. The following is the experience I had which them:
They charged me Rs. 8000/- as service charges and Rs. 6000 per month for the tuition fees.
The Yahweh agency itself is not a registered agency and not having any registration by Government. Neither they have an office and they run all business on cash.
They take advance money for the tuition fees.
The agency is run by a lady by the name Athena. Only for getting the money she will give calls and for any other topics she will never pick up the call.
The experience that I had with the teacher who came(her name was Hannah) was disappointing:
Absolutely no discipline on the time at which she comes. First we decided on Saturday and Sunday two hours from 11.00AM to 01.00PM. Everyday she will request the time to be shifted to some other time. So we finally said, please decide on a comfortable time and come regularly at that time. So 01.00PM was decided and then onwards everyday she will again request it to be shifted to some other time. It became 02.00PM, 02.30PM and our entire weekend plans was disturbed because of this.
She claims to be a student of Mount Carmel, which we have not validated.
The CBSE syllabus includes talking in Hindi as part of the curriculum and when we requested the teacher to do that part, she claims that is another course for which we need to pay extra.
There is writing in Hindi as part of the curriculum and whenever my daughter requests the teacher to take it she will ask to write it herself(or with mom!) and she will do only the correction. If we were supposed to teach Hindi why do we need the teacher for tuition.
With all these we decided to stop the tuition and since they take advance fees, I requested for a return which they were not ready to do.
