Yahoo mail. Review on Yahoo

Hello everybody.. here I am again but this time I am serious, I have to talk about yahoo!! rather I would focus on yahoo mail, because this is the only email web site which I could recall is always on the tips and is always the first web site to be open the moment I sit on my seat no matter at home or at office!!!

I remember when I was in high school and there was a craze sort of stuff to have an individual mail box almost 7 years ago, I went to computer library and logged onto yahoo.com and then clicked on mail and started creating my I'd and after 1 hr of brain storming (7 years before plz don?t laugh!! I was a kid), I was able to create a yahoo mail id and I was the most happiest person on the earth seems like I have conquered something.

For many months no email was there and I was in vain but slowly and steadily as time passes by I started to learn more about yahoo mail and I realized that in my child hood years the only thing which I did worth appreciation was creating a yahoo id, rest went all in drain no matter it was a study or a health or whatever.

yahoo from day one used to provide 6 mb of a mail box which was sufficient for a novice user like me, but gradually they have increased the space from 6 mb to 100mb which now is like a trunk and u have to just let the mail come in.

Well here at MS I am not writing biography of mine!!! do I!! NO so here we come down to the business....... prons and cons... here are the prons or advantages..

1. Easy Simple To Use Interface: - does it needs further explanation???

   
   




2. folder options: - the options of creating a folder as many as one needed and then to put the filter to it is, one of the thing which I really admire; if u have 3 girlfriends (well I have none!! just an example), create 3 folders put a filter that if u receive a mail from first one it goes to her folder so would be for second and third which saves ur time and creates the priority.

   
   

Another good feature is the bulk folder where the mass mailers mail drops in there until you specify that the id from where it is sent is the known id to you.

1. spam blocker : - yahoo ids are occasionally hit by spam?s the best thing is mark the mail as spam and rest it goes the bulk folder or if required put it in trash!!!

   
   




2. address book :- well nothing special about address book as most of us think so!!! but hardly few are aware that one can import and export the address book to email software programs like Outlook express, Outlook, Eudora, Netscape etc etc and yet another feature is the list (called as groups as well) create an id in the address book by any name and then group them with the email ids of required people and instead of selecting all the email id's again and again just select the group and mail goes to all..:)

   
   




3. text editor:- the place where one types the message is good. we have two option to type the contents either in plain text format or with graphics, the difference is that in graphics one can insert smiley, and could have mail in a decent format with bullets and all!!!

   
   

uhhh!! I am tired with prons.. there are many which I think most of you guys are aware of it like the attachments are scanned with Norton and then signature and tons and tons of it!!!..

okay for comes cons: -

1. speed to access :- although I have never bothered about the speed but I have realized that Gmail is much faster than yahoo mail and at times yahoo tends to slow down or would get the message as ''mail box in invalid state''

   
   




2. prone to hackers and crackers : - yahoo email box is prone to crackers particularly, there are some reviews in MS where the guys have actually cracked there friends mail boxes!!! so that is one of loose point and not only this the tech support for United States customer is chargeable its not the toll free number, not even for SBC yahoo customer!!! now that?s the pain

   
   




3. Premium services:- well premium services is chargeable but there is nothing special about it!!!, u get more space and POP and SMTP and briefcase and photos.. that?s it
