Yahoo!disabled its free pop access of mails sometime in 2002, but a superb news ? you can download your yahoo mails to your e-mail clients viz Outlook, Netscape, Eudora etc. a freeware available on the net facilitates you to download your mails from your beloved email provider. Itssssssss the Yahoo POPS!!!!!!!! This is not an ad for the Yahoo POPS, but this software is a really good one, if you wish to preserve your yahoo mails on your system to read them offline, or just for keeps.
Yahoo has a lot of features, so almost everyone have at least one yahoo mail account, which also gives ample storage space. Earlier it also used to offer free pop access for its mails, which is really convenient for a lot of people.
Thus, when yahoo discontinued its pop access in 2002, a group of perl professionals came up with a script to download the mails to e-mail clients. This was called ?fetchyahoo?. Yahoo POPS is a altered and modified version of the same software with more features. YPOPS! provides a POP3 server interface at one end to talk to e-mail clients and an HTTP client (browser) interface at the other that permits it to talk to Yahoo, and thus download the mails.

It?s a small download, easy to install and use. Just follow the instructions in the help file, which comes with the installation. Configure your e-mail client and let the YPOPS! run in the system tray. And pronto!!! Your yahoo mails start getting downloaded.
