During the trailors of the movies, the main thing that came to my notice was .....Yahaan. The look of the movie was good, different and how good the leading pair looked. The next thing was the music.
Shantanu Moitra has composed and Gulzar sa'ab and Nizami bandhu have penned the lyrics of this album. So the expectations are definitely set high....and they are met too.
The songs are fresh and very soothing, even the remixes. My favourite is Naam Adaa Likhna, by Shaan and Shreya Ghoshal. Both have done immense justice to the beautifully penned and composed number.
The other no. that sounds fresh, playful and innocent is Urzu Urzu Durkut, Shreya Ghoshal's voice playfully weaving through the tunes.
There is the mandatory qawwali, Ajmer Wale Khwaja, something that plays on and on in your mind, long after the song is over.
Get your hands on this album if you want to listen to something soothing, ideally when it pouring outside.
