First thing, I would like to mention is Xiaomi not paying me for writing this, but yes I would share my own views as per my usage and experience with the device, called Note 4G by Xiaomi.
I also have Redmi 1s prior to Note 4G. Note 4G is an amazing phone and better than the other competing phone which double or triple the cost.
Yes I agree that heating was a problem but post updating the patch, issue got resolved. Phone doesn't heat up much but yes if you keep on playing game continuously for like 1-2 hours then yes it heats up, you may take it as a justification for prolong usage of the hardware and not any kind of issue.
Battery back up is pretty much a boon. 3100 mAh battery let's you go through the entire day if you are an extensive gamer. I spend 4-5 battery hours daily on games and apps like what's app and FB, but I am still left with 35-45% of battery left on 2G. On 3G again it depends upon type of application, it would leave you with a battery indicating 20-25% of it.
OS being based on Android 4.4 KitKat and with a blend of iOS in its user interface keeps you grilled to it. Unnecessary options which might lead a normal to self destruct the phone are hidden. Unlike regular android phones, phone is loaded with n number of customization options. You can control the look and feel at micro level but still without messing up with the core functionality.
Camera, again a very useful piece of hardware, has a potential of 13 MP [main camera], comes with f/2.2 and 28 mm which if you go in market would cost you 4 times the price of the phone. Secondary camera is 5 MP which is again works well. Since it's just a phone so you can't control the camera like DSLRs but if you any good app then you can.
Well, 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad-core processor powers it with a real dragon like speedy processing and multitasking ability. Snapdragon's battery efficient Cortex-A7.
Storage is a little issue here, it comes with 8 Gb internal and only 5 Gb is available. Though it is extendable upto 64 Gb but one probable issue that I am not sure how the device will handle is, what will happen when the internal memory is full. There is no option to change the installation destination for apps. But then again it's problem with Android 4.4 KitKat, so Xiaomi Note 4G is not exactly the guilty here.
All in all guys phone is very, again I would repeat the usual saying that exceptions are always there. I have used iPhone 3, 4, 5s, HTC1 and HTC desire X.issues were there but that doesn't made any of em a bad choice or suggestion for anybody. Buying from flipkart gets you the ease of replacement, so no problem at all.
