In this review I m going to give you 6 resons why you should not buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Although this phone has a lot of strong points, there are still some weak points.
1. Sunlight legibility
Although it comes with a sunlight display mode which omproves the contrast levels of the screen for a better visibility in outdoor conditions yet the absolute brightness of the display in outdoor sunlight is not up to the mark. You have to struggle a bit to see the display on a sunny bright day.
2. Dual SIM card slot
You can either put a second SIM card or a microSD card to expand the memory but not both.
3. Battery
There is no removable battery unlike the previous redmi note generation devices. You cannot swap the battery in this one. If it goes bad or it gets drain and you want to replace with a new battery you cannot.
4. Screen security
There is no gorilla glass here. Presence of gorilla glass gives you a sense of security and confidence that the screen is not easily scratchable.
5. Charging
It does support fast charging and there is a 2 amp charger which makes it a 10 watt charger but it doesnot support quick charge or qualcomm quick charge.
6. Camera performance
Although the camera is excellent in most conditions there are two things that this camera is not able to handle very well. First is its low light photography and second is its incapability to record 4K videos which some phones in this price has now started supporting and also low light pictures tends to get a bit greeny.
