There is no doubt that Xiaomi understands the need of Indian buyer. They deliver product which can not only make there market in INDIA strong but also leave public with best choice for mobile phones.
This is my first product from Xiaomi. Before that I don't even know Xiaomi I always use to call it RedMI phone.
I received my phone on 12-August which was ordered on 9-August hence no issues with delivery.
This is first MADE IN INDIA phone by Xiaomi not made in CHINA but certainly technology shared by chinese company.
Phone looks very stunning. Its plastic body gives metallic touch feeling like premium phones.
Its very light weighted for a phone with 4000mAh battery. 1.9 Gb of free RAM after unboxing.
Many usefull apps were pre installed . Rest of necessary apps were installed and software updated with new MI account is created then I get 1.5 - 1.8 Gb of free RAM.
When it comes to insert sim and memory card I find very difficult to decide either 1 sim with memory card or 2 sim with no memory card. Now I am only using 1 sim in 2G band because in india you wont find 4G apart from metro city.
It takes 4-5 Hours to fully charge battery from 0 to 100%.
I used offline saved Google map for my trip of 11 hours and my map GPS navigation was continuously ON. My whole journey with making phone calls, map navigation, playing songs on aux and capturing images consumes 42% of battery.
2 hour of continuous playing Asphalt 8 consumes 23% battery, mobile begin to heat after 4-5 days of playing game, but there was no lagging in game.
One time full battery charge can keep you going for 1.5 day easily with playing game, surfing internet, video calling and audio calling to.
I have checked every feature of phone except 4G and here is my observation
Pros:
Display quality is great.
Looks and design is great.
Working smoothly with heavy applications and multitasking with 3 GB RAM and Octa-core processor.
Finger print works smoothly.
Many useful pre installed tools, which saves your headache to search best compatible app form play store.
Internal storage is sufficient spares to use of external memory card.
Very simple and user friendly GUI(MIUI7).
Infrared is a add on and it works fine with my AC but not all options are accessible with my old LG flatron tv.
Cons
Camera doesn't have clarity of 13MP at rear and 5MP at front camera.
Heats up when a heavy app used for more than 15 minutes.
Automatic screen light adjust takes to much time to detect dim light and bright light.
Sound quality in loud speakers is OK(not great).
Have to use old mobile earphones or buy new separately.
Over all its a phone with maximum feature at lowest price in market. With maximum feature at low price you have to compensate with quality for sure. But I think using it for 1 to 2 year is good.
CHOICE is yours to make. I am quite satisfies.
