## Xiaomi Redmi 3s Plus ##

In India, Xiaomi has been constantly in the news for good reasons, and the Chinese company has quickly risen through the ranks since its debut in 2013. Though the company entered the country as an online-only company, it has since come a long way. Its new smartphone, the Redmi 3s Plus, aptly describes this journey as it is the first Xiaomi smartphone that will only be sold offline. The Xiaomi Redmi 3s Plus has been launched for Rs 9, 499 and will be available at over 7, 500 stores across India. Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi 3s Plus will be available at stores like Poorvika, Sangeetha, BIG C, and LOT mobiles, via distributors such as Redington, Innocomm and Just Buy Live. The smartphone is available in three colors - gold, silver and grey.

With Xiaomi already having launched the Redmi 3s and Redmi 3s Prime in India earlier this year, the Redmi 3s Plus is just another variant in this lineup. Like the Redmi 3s Prime, the Redmi 3s Plus too is'Made in India'. Both smartphones are powered by the same Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, but are differ on the basis of their RAM. The Redmi 3s Prime comes with 3GB of RAM, while the Redmi 3s Plus comes with 2GB of RAM. Apart from this, both smartphones share the same set of specifications and features.

Xiaomi Redmi 3s Plus specifications

The Redmi 3s Plus features a 5-inch HD(1280x720 pixels) display, and comes with 32GB onboard memory, which can be expanded using a microSD card. On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie camera up front. The Redmi 3s Plus is fuelled by a 4, 100mAh battery which is similar to the Redmi 3s Prime. The Xiaomi smartphone comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back for biometric authentication. On the connectivity front, it supports dual-SIM(a Nano and a Micro SIM) slot. It also features a 4G LTE and VoLTE connectivity.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3s Plus will face tough competition from the likes of the Coolpad Note 3 Plus and Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus among others. Where the Redmi 3s Plus is priced at Rs 9, 499, the Vibe K5 Plus and Note 3 Plus are priced at Rs 8, 499 and Rs 8, 999 respectively.

Though the three smartphones come with a 5-inch screen, the Redmi 3s Plus is the only one to feature a HD(720p) resolution display. The Note 3 Plus and the Vibe K5 Plus both feature a full HD display. In terms of processor, the Xiaomi Redmi 3s Plus is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The Coolpad Note 3 Plus has MediaTek MT675 processor with 3GB of RAM. The Redmi 3s Plus comes with 32GB of onboard storage. On the other hand, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus and Coolpad Note 3 Plus come with 16GB of onboard storage.

On the photography front, all the three smartphones feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing cameras. The competing smartphones Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, and Coolpad Note 3 Plus come with 2, 750mAh and 3, 000mAh batteries respectively.

On the software front, the Xiaomi’s Redmi 3s Plus, runs on MIUI-based on Android Marshmallow. As for the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop wrapped under Vibe UI.
