Xiaomi entered the smartphone market in India whit the Mi3 which along with the mi4 were great at the time of their launch. But the situation is different with the Mi5.

Build and design: This time the phone has been built out of glass. No doubt it looks and feels good, but due to that glass its very slipery and can fall of your hand at any time. So get a case.

Display: The display is a 5 in Full hd one which is pretty good at this price.

Battery life: The battery life gave a mixed result I wud say. When I was on wifi, it easily lasted a day with a SOT of 4-4.15 hrs abut things change on mobile data. When I was mostly using 4G data, it was dead by the evening with a SOT of 2-2.5 hrs. Such a difference is not at all acceptable. I hope Xiaomi fixes it with an OTA update soon but as of now its like that.

Performance: The device is powered by Snapdragon 820 chip but the CPU is not running at its full clock speed(2.2 Ghz), instead the Indian version runs at 1.8 Ghz. A bit disppointing. Though u wont have any problems while playing heavy games. The device sports 4 GB of ram. But sorry to say, the ram management is worst. Even, your mid ranger, Redmi note 3 3gb variant performs better than this so called flagship. BTW I noticed some minor overheating with this device, while very heavy tasks, like playing NOVA 3.

Camera: The camera is nothing great. Its avg. I wud say. In fact both the Moto g4+ and Nexus 5x both priced lesser will easily beat it in camera dept.

Speaker: The speaker is tiny, not so loud.

Call quality is excellent. Neither the other party now me have any complains during the call.

Updates: Since its a Mi  device and runs MIUI, the updates will be delayed. However the MIUI 8 update will be given soon.

The phone is priced at 25k Xiaomi just launched this 32GB variant in India with the under- powered chip. I think the most of the stock sold were before the Oneplus 3 came to the market. Coz I dont think any consumer will get this phone in those stupid flash sales, instead of adding 3k more and getting the Oneplus 3 which is offering much more than this at almost the same price. Being a chinese vendor, the service might be a hit or a miss!
