I have used many Xiaomis's mobile phones. May be yes I am fan of this company. Even now I am using Redmi 2 Prime. But in past I was using Mi 4 of the same company. And believe me it is Xiaomi's best smart phone ever so far. It is even more better in compare to newer models.
I will give it full points in terms of design and hardware. It is having good snapdragon processor with 3 GB Ram, which is good enough to handle any kind of multi tasking. And most attractive good point of this phone is its camera. This phone is having awesome photo quality camera. Not only rear, its front camera is also very impressive. I have never seen that crystal clear result of front camera from any other phone. So if anyone interested in camera stuff, this is the beast.
I was having 64GB model, so it was a good one. Better you avoid 16Gb model as it is not supported memory card. With 64GB you don't need of memory card. Plus for Indian users 4g is not supported in this phone. But honestly saying 4g is still not available in our area so I never mind it. But yes for future prospect it is one drawback.
