Recently, I purchased a Xiaomi Book S 12.4 laptop, and after using it for more than a week, I am highly disappointed by its performance. Now and then, the system restarts. Even though the performance is not up to the mark. While I was on a video call, I realised that the display on the laptop seemed oddly dull. I tried to run PubG on the system but it crashed every time. I think the only upside to this laptop is that it looks sleek and is light in weight. However, given the price of the Xiaomi Book S 12.4 laptop, I think the company could have used better features. Also, I was quite disappointed by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 chipset used in the laptop because the laptop gets considerably slower when you try to open more than 4 tabs on Chrome. Even the battery starts to drain out as soon as you unplug the laptop. To add to my distress further, Xiaomi has just instilled one USB-C port in the laptop.
I wish Xiaomi had come up with a better processor than this. At this point, the Xiaomi Book S 12.4 is just like any other basic laptop with limited features and low performance.
