PROS:
Nothing here except decent salary, even the huge incentives they have are gone now.
And you learn to perform under pressure.
CONS:
There are so many cons that I have compiled a list so as to not miss out on anything. I am currently on notice period and have been promptly been relieved of my core work and given data entry type work.
Negative HR Policies. HR policies are a joke, there is 1 HR for around 200-250 employees. Leaves are granted once in 6 months and no Indian holidays. Even though there are 12 Federal Holidays in US, this company gives only 8! Anti-employee policies make this company a JAIL.
No work culture, just work. Colleagues are people who just want to mint money, without a care for their health/family. Social life doesn't exist for them.They wont to work all 365 days so as to not miss out on the extra salary. Having said that, there are some good people too, who feel trapped and helpless, good luck to you to get out of this mess.
Zero job security. No matter how senior you are, you can be let off at any point of time, without a valid reason.
No appreciation for good work, but even minor mistakes are documented and used against you. Zero job satisfaction, at the end of the day you will feel that just 1 day of your life is gone and no value addition hastaken place.
Unreasonable ETAs. though the shift is for 9 hours, people work for 11-12 hours on an average daily.
No career growth. Only growth will be in terms of salary. Even if you're promoted to the next level, you are not empowered to make decisions and just have to implement the management's diktat.
The mentors and supervisors are simply incompetent and confused. One cannot blame them, the management only promotes those who unconditionally worship them(read followers).
Your mentor/manager/supervisor/team leader will NOT help you when the company finds
some fake reason to suspend or fire you. Everyone saves themselves, you are on your own.
- All the important work and underwriting is done in the US. Except for 2-3 teams, all other teams here just do mundane things like processing, data entry and document verification and uploading. So most probably you will end up doing irrelevant work which won't have any weight-age when you leave.
There are ONLY 2 types of people who can benefit from working here:
People wanting to do a fob for the sake of doing something, eventually will be joining the family business.
Women who want to show a year or two of "job experience for a good marriage". Ladies, If you're serious about your career, just skip this company.
Not 1 person in the entire organization can claim he enjoys or even prefers his work. My advice to people looking to join is simply: DON'T. Even if you already have, resign when you still can, or you won't even get to serve your notice period. Prioritize your health and social life at this age and anyway you will surely land up a much better job - maybe not better paying but one that let's you feel what you have done today will make some meaningful difference to someone or add value to to the society.
