Xtraordinary thriller. Review on X-Men Evolution

Well I suppose I’m perhaps the greatest X-MEN fan, be it the movies, the series on Star World or anything. And I would say that the ‘X-MEN Evolution’ is just superb.

Well the cartoon series is based on the life led by some people with super powers (result of their peculiar genetic mutations). The X-Men are some of these super human beings who are being taught to control their powers at “Xavier’s school for gifted youngsters”.And under the guidance of Prof. Xavier, the X-Men are striving to protect the normal citizens of Bayville from villain mutants like Magneto, Mystique and their supporters who want the mutants to be acknowledged superior to the normal humans and at the same time the X-Men are also trying to protect themselves from the anti-mutant humans who want the mutants to be eliminated.

Some of the most important CHARACTERS are:

Prof. Xavier: He is a mutant with psychic power and he believes in human-mutant unity. At his school he teaches his pupil not to misuse their powers selfishly rather to use them for the betterment of the people.

Magneto: Previously a friend of Xavier, he is now out to show the humans that the mutants are all powerful and that the humans should surrender to this superior race of mutants. He will not spare anyone who shall try to stop him and his plans, he didn’t even spare his friend and his own daughter.He can control anything that is made of metal.

Mystique: She worked for Magneto before, but now she works on her own.She just wants to defeat the X-men. She can transform to anything she wants.

THE X-MEN

Storm: She is an experienced mutant. She has powers to control weather.

Wolverine, a tough teacher for the ‘gifted youngsters’ has metal claws and self-healing powers.

Beast: Prof. Henry Macoy has real beastly powers.

Cyclops: His real name is Scott Summers, one of the seniors at Xavier’s school and he can shoot Laser Beams from his eyes.

Jean Grey: A model student never misusing her powers, she is Scott’s girlfriend. She too has psychic powers.

Rogue: she is Mystique’s adopted daughter and is one of the most powerful mutants. She can suck the power of other mutants just by touching them.

Kitty/shadow cat: she can pass through anything. And is really a sweet teenager.

Night crawler/Kurtz: Mystique’s son, Kurtz is blue in colour and he can disappear from and reappear at any place he likes.

Spike: he is Storm’s nephew and he can throw sharp spikes out of his body whenever he likes. He is a little showy.

THE BROTHERHOOD BOYS

Quick silver, magneto’s son has powers of quickness.

Avalanche can cause earthquakes and is not very bad on overall rating.

Toad and Bob, one has toad powers and the other has unimaginable strength.

Wanda: Magneto’s abandoned daughter and the most powerful of all mutants. She can control the other mutant’s powers and has Magnetic powers in addition as well.

The story goes on with the evolution of powers of all mutants and at last comes the great fight to save the world from the cruel intentions of the great Apocalypse, where all the mutants, even the brotherhood, fight together with the X-Men to bring about an evolution for the betterment.

Well this serial is not meant for kids only.There's a lot to know and learn from it.
