Gothic elements in Wuthering Heights. Review on Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte

This is one of the most popular novel in literature. Catherine and Heathcliff are the two leading characters in this novel. it seems that they are made for each other but still they are departed by some invisible forces. they are passionate for each other. Nelly is a character who tells the story of Wuthering Heights and criticizes what she does not like. the love of Heathcliff towards Catherine is considered as immoral by the society. the affair between between young Catherine and Hareton is also very interesting. there are few Gothic elements present in this novel which makes the novel more interesting and curious. Heathcliff's love for Catherine was so strong that he talks to the spirits after the death of Catherine. wherever he goes he searches for her. it seems that her memories have turned him lunatic. the affair between Hareton and young Catherine gives the novel a change and growth. they also represent changing generation. there is a scene when Catherine says that " I am Heathcliff" and it shows how much she cared for him. this novel has a wonderful story and readers will love to read it.
