Hello friend, now I am share my 3 year back experience about this Chinese food centre in Delhi with my friend. Wushu was initially a small Chinese restaurant in Rajouri Garden. Now I hope it have more branch over Delhi.

When we walked into Wushu’s latest branch in Malviya Nagar, we could feel the oriental ambience of the place even while walking up the stairs. With huge posters of heroes and fighters from the orient, we were already impressed. As we got seated, the chef and the manager took some time out to talk to us, even though the restaurant was bustling, despite being a week day. We learnt that this was because of their ongoing summer food festival, which included combinations of exotic salads, platters and mocktails.

Since it was a hot summer evening, we decided to order a few refreshing drinks to begin with. On going through the menu, we realized that the restaurant does not serve any alcoholic drinks, but has a huge array of mocktails to choose from. Our poison for the night was the Virgin Mojito and the Mango Margarita. The Mojito, we thought, was sweet, with contrasting flavours of mint and lemon. Its sprite base made it quite a refreshing option! The Mango Margarita was nice too, but we figured it would feature well as a day drink, being fruity and slightly heavy.

On the chef’s recommendations, we started out with their popular Tai Chi Chicken which definitely lived up to expectations. It was sour, spicy and had a very oriental flavour to it – officially being branded our favourites! The Tao Chicken, just sweeter, was not very different from the Tai Chi Chicken in terms of flavour. The Crispy Baby Corn too, could do with some seasoning and left us struggling to taste the baby corn beneath the crunchy, battered exterior. The flavour of the Thai Chicken was greatly enhanced with the accompanying Wushu sauce. It tasted a lot like the Indian tandoori chicken.

Coming to the main course, which was served quickly and efficiently, we were thoroughly impressed by pretty much all the dishes served to us. The Mongolian Chicken was not spicy at all, and had a lot of flavours tantalizing our taste buds with fresh spring onions, a slightly sourness of vinegar and the fantastic Chinese herb seasoning. It had a very different kind of sweetness and was the highlight of our experience here.

The dessert menu was extensive, and after long deliberations, we decided on the Ice Cream with Honey Glazed Flat Noodles, which turned out to be a great way to end a wholesome meal. The honey and wheat flavour of the noodles went well with the ice cream.

All in all, if you’re looking for affordable, delicious Chinese food in South Delhi, Wushu in Malviya Nagar is definitely the place to go!
