Mouthshut for dummies, by a Dummy

All about Mouthshut – Part I

||||~~~Serious warning: You might not be a dummy anymore after reading this reviewI~~~~||||

___________________________________________________________________________

Oh, welcome!!! You are a member of the MS community. Do you know the first advantage of being a member? You can write reviews. Yes, you can write. What else??? You can participate and win contests, etc etc … for more details check out the logoff page or community center. But, it does not tell you how to make best use of it … that is why I am here – to teach you writing is not just about writing.

Lesson 1: Writing reviews – the basics

To write more, you will have to read more. There are very good search engines like google.com that will fetch you the right kind of information, which you wish to know about the product you might review. You might end up with another review too. In that case, read it entirely. If you agree to few things the author says, pick them up and place them in your review. If you don’t agree with few things then reverse what he says … simple right? When you agree with him outright, just copy paste the review here. If someone says you are copying, they are senseless. How can you be responsible for 100% coincidence that the other person has same thoughts as yours?

What? Copyright? Who said Copyright means ‘do not copy’? Ok, what is Birthright?? Now, tell me what is copyright?

See here; check this title. I have copied it from farookh ji. What is wrong? But don’t be stupid like me to reveal that you have copied. That is why I am still a dummy. The non-dummies go to Goa. (Hey if you want to delete this review for this statement, remember that I did not mention any contest here)

Lesson 2: Caught for words?

You might seriously want to scold somebody, but the word filters might catch the words that you are using. That time you should be using the ‘’s to good effect. Like say, for the word ‘fck’ you can use the * like I have done. The readers mind would substitute that with the letter ‘U’. Similarly, for ‘Sht’ your mind substitutes ‘i’. But just be very careful when you use it. It might be misread if you use it on some words like, ‘Mouthsht’.

Lesson 3: If you do not have multiple facets, have multiple faces

If you are not able to write on various topics you might find it hard to continue writing, because your readership might fall along with your interest. But never mind, this problem comes if you have one ID only. MS is an open forum; create as many Ids as you can. Try to write (or do lesson 1) on different topics from different Ids! Or at least use the other Ids to rate and comment your own reviews! Your reviews will get into hot reviews and more the reviews that get into that column you can become more popular.

This has more advantages too. When you create multiple Ids like this, invite yourself with different email Ids (you can create as many of them too, isn’t it?). You are then eligible to win more contests!! Look, at least you will use these Ids for rating and commenting on your own reviews. But there are few people who waste it like anything, you know. They invite friends, they do not read any reviews or rate any reviews or write any reviews. That is their profile will show zero for all the columns except for the friends invited. Even the invited friend might do the same thing. What is the use of the contest if they don’t use the Ids created out of referring. They are wasting them right? You make best use of it dude. You will not be a dummy anymore; I am here.

What? Honesty? I will slap you if you use that word again. Kill your consciousness. That should have been the first lesson actually. Actually I should be saying H*nesty here.

Lesson 4: Additional tools

Use tools like Trusted circle to full use. Add big big shots to your trust list. They might consider you for something, because you are making them proud. Hey even I am planning to do that … wait a moment I will be back …

1 …

2 …

3 …

Yeah, I am back; Added a couple. Where were we? Yes, use the trusted list to your full advantage.

That’s it. I am through with writing this review. I should see at least 10 comments. Even I hate to be a dummy anymore. I will use Lesson 3 myself.

Wrote this review and then decided the category. If there is no category, I will not use Mouthpad. I will post it in some movie section (I can participate in the contest right?). Who cares about relevance or irrelevance? Make that Lesson 5.

-Vinayak

To those members who read this review:

I am sure you are not a dummy (like me) not to understand the lessons above were ‘Don’t’s’.

To MS team which reads this review:

I am sure you are not a dummy too, to misunderstand my point.

Someone is yelling at me … hey, oh sorry, I clicked the ‘Distrust list’ instead of ‘Trust list’. Trust me it was only a mistake.
