Having written on the the other excellent
categories regarding reading and rating,
community center etc. I thought it was
time to add my views on this particular
topic.
Writing reviews on MouthShut is really very easy.
It doesn't take much time or effort. Slap a few
words down and you're finished. BUT - writing a
good, informative and entertaining review is much
more challenging. Please keep in mind that these
are MY guidelines and everyone has a different style
and approach.
Tell me what you see in a product, not what you've
heard or what a friend told you. Be honest. Share
your views and experiences, not someone elses.
SIZE DOESN'T MATTER ! A review can be informative
without being the length of War and Peace. Just make
sure you provide the reader with pertinent facts.
Don't write if you have nothing to say. Don't feel
pressured into writing reviews just for the sake of
posting. Readers can tell if a review is just thrown
together or well thought out.
Be yourself. Don't try to dazzle the readers with your
shining personality. If you have one - God Bless, If not
then make the most of what you have. Again, honesty is
the key.
Whenever possible, add some helpful tips, insights
and recommendations regarding the product being reviewed.
Stats and ingredients are important too, but I'd rather
hear what you have to say than what's printed on the box.
Lighten up. This isn't life or death, it isn't
brain surgery. It's simply sharing information and experiences.
If you enjoy writing, you've come to the right place.
If you find it's becoming too much of a task, take a
break. Relax, read and rate some reviews. This
shouldn't be stressful. It should be enjoyed not only
by you but by the reader too.
Have fun !
