1- Write your heart out on the box provided by MS and write until it says - Please stop. (They are not going to do this anyway lest they stop existing). ( A more practical limit is your boss/wife etc. So you must write until they stop and your dinner will be stopped).

2- Avoid five star words.

3- Listen to what others say about your review. In fact if you follow step 1, they will bounce back and if you avoid step 2, they will scream. This may popularize your review and you will be extremely popular until they close down your account! In fact, there are several ways to write a review

a- until they scream and you receive comments by the kilogramme.

b- Until the concerned company responds by improving quality of the product service.

c- Until the concerned author/actor/player, quits the job.

d- There are libel suits against you. e- Until they close down your account! (Generally this happens before d).

What actually happens depends upon your writing style and what you write. And also upon your attitude towards life. So, if you are still excited and all set to go then try this -

Golden rule - stick to the baics.

  1. Review must be relevant and not off the way.

  2. It must have your unbiased opinion.

  3. Criticism must be objective and not towards creating unnecessary noise.

  4. Do not mangle facts. Honest facts will make a review useful and easy on the producing/service agency also. After all, there is nothing bigger than the truth. In fact, falsity will reduce the weight of the review grossly.

  5. Unnecessary discussion wastes time. I have seen many reviews which generate a lot of bandwidth by way of heated discussions only and there is no end result.

  6. Write to the point. But do not think of it all the time otherwise you may get confused. A better way is to write to your heartt's content, go back after some time and read it again.

  7. Try to put the points clearly, whatever way you do it. In other words, you point of view must be clear.

  8. Try to put your points in an orderly manner.

This waym they present the correct picture in your mind and makes an interesting review. In short, an open minded review with a reasonable language, accuracy of the subject and objective commentary/criticism makes what you call a review.
