Well I have been writing reviews for over 2 months and why I am here on mouth becoz I believe, most the reviews are genuine.
Recently, mouthshut came up with the "Write and Share" Contest. Its a great contest where one can share their past experience, share them on Facebook and get approved for money!
But there are some reviews which actually stays tagged as "Sent for approval" but never got approved. So I sent a mail to them asking why those reviews are still not approved and they just reply standard answer
"*Hello,
We would like to bring to your notice that only reviews which help our consumers make buying decisions will be approved.*"
No offense but I still dont understand this "Why".!
I write long reviews of all my own experiences for example "Iron Man" and "Pantaloon" Shop but they dont get approved becoz they say "Only those reviews that will help the consumers make buying decisions will be approved"! Does the pantaloon shop review wer I usually buy cloths wont help customer making buying decisions!
Its really confusing!
But I have seen people writing review with just 5 to 6 sentences and they get their reviews approved! I dont understand this!
What I would say it thou mouthshut doing amazing job, MS customer support is little slow.
What I also hate is, just like Shopclues or flipkart, They too follow the same tactics as "Copy paste support answer". The reply with the same answer for any questions asked!
What I would suggest mouthshut on this scenario is - " If the reviews are not approved, mark them as Disapproved ".
Verdict - Anyways from now on I wont write long review on mouth. I will just keep it short. I see a lots of people just write about 8 to 10 lines and get over 400 reviews approved. But I write over atleast 50 lines with full stuff but dont get those reviews Approves.
Its actually disappoints our hard work.
I am just unhappy with MS Review approval method. Otherwise, i love mouthshut. MS has help select best products in past.!
