How You Can Help Me

How can reading one of your reviews help me? Well, that is the much debated question. What is it that I really want to see in a review? Well, here are some of the things that I look for:

1.)HOW DOES THE PRODUCT WORK:

When you are writing about a product such as a shampoo, lotion, tooth paste, or something like that, I want to know how it works. Does it live up to what is being advertised? Is it worth the cost of the product? Is there something else that you have used that might work just as well? These are all some questions that I would like to see answered in the course of you opinion.

2.)WHAT IS IN IT:

I know that this is not something that a lot of people might be interested in, but I have a family full of people with allergies and the ingredients are important to me. Yes, I can always go to the store and read the label, but many times I go on line to check out a product before I will even approach it in the store.

3.) BOOK OR MOVIE:

If you are writing about a book or a movie, I would like to know if it is worth my time and money to go see it or buy it. I am the world's worst at writing what I am asking to see. I want to know why I should go see the movie or read the book without giving away everything that I am going to see or going to read. I want to do that for myself. However, I try to refrain from writing in these categories because I do exactly that. I tell you so much that you do not need to bother going to the movie or reading the book. This really does not make for a good review and so I shy away.

4.) WEBSITES:

Why should I visit and what will I find? Am I going to be buying flowers, sending cards, or obtaining information? Is it worth my time to stop by or is it not a site to bother with? These are all the questions that I would look to find in a good review in this area.

RESTURANT REVIEWS:

In these reviews, I would like to see what it is that is being offered to eat and how much is it going to cost me to eat there. I also find it helpful to know if the establishment is clean, if they serve in a manner that is acceptable, and are the people doing the serving friendly. I hate to go to a place where I have to wait for ever and then the service is bad.

There are so many things that go into writing a good opinion. They should flow with the information, answer the questions, have good spelling and punctuation. I try to stay away from subjects that I do not have a passion for or do not know much about. It seems that if I do not have a love for a topic that it shows in my writing style. I have found that true of others as well.

Everyone has a different opinion on what makes a good review. I really do think that knowledge, compassion, and style are all good qualities to have when you sit down to write.
